Novel & Cerita Family Isn't Always Blood

I shook my head, all the energy slowly seeping from out of me like tendrils of smoke. “He was my brother. My blood.” I screamed in his face, in pure shock and disbelief. “Sometimes water is thicker than blood.” A nonchalant shrug, “And you don’t know this, love, but blood does not make you family. You make your own family, not the other way around.”

Family… That word pierced Rosalie’s heart all the way through. She wanted to refute Theodore’s claims, but she couldn’t find any reason to. What he said did seem to be the case. They were family, on top of their previous relationship as husband and wife. Although they weren’t related by blood, not all families in this world were related by blood. Even people who were related by blood could end up scheming against each other, and be heartless to one another. Conversely, some families may not be related by blood, but they do everything for each other and are genuine toward each other. That was far superior to some families related by blood.

“Don’t even try it. “What are you talking about? I thought you just had one brother? And you mentioned to me that Augustine was somewhat adopted into your family.” “I do. In my immediate family. But then there are the cousins and the cousin’s cousins and the aunts and uncles and the people who aren’t blood but still family involved, plus we all live together in like a family house, or estate or something like that so there will be a whole other family with their family’s family and so on. And if they are anything like me.. you know how Tasha says it, ‘arrogant’ then it’s going to be a hell of a ride... it’s just…I don’t want them to scare you away.”
