This was a chess game that was destined to end at a stalemate from the very beginning. Reaching into her pocket, she produced a lighter, a sinister grin appearing on her face. "You betrayed me, Chris… So you should pay the price! Let's go to hell together!" The exhibition hall burst into flames, which continued for a few hours. Chris was badly wounded but safe, and though he was sent to the hospital, he seemed like a completely different person when he woke up again.

' Serena, stripped of my support, went bankrupt. This was her intended ending anyway, so I felt no pity for her. As for Lark, without the abilities I bought for her, she died at the hands of her stepmother. The system was ruthless to the core. Before she died, she told her she was only good with the gun because of the purchase I made. Her lips moved, but she never managed to even say the words, "I'm sorry."
