Setting Myself Free

Setting Myself Free

I was tired of arguing and just wanted to escape them both. Caleb blocked my path, grabbing my wrist painfully tight. "You're not leaving until you apologize to Sheena!" "Let go!" I cried out, struggling against his grip and desperately wishing someone would help me. Just when I was about to lose hope, Caleb suddenly released me.

Breaking Free from the Cage

Breaking Free from the Cage

While I waited to board the plane at the airport, Jay called. I declined the call immediately, removed the SIM card from my phone and threw it away. From now on, I would live my own life. The plane landed in the icy winds of Usmana. I wrapped my coat tighter and looked toward the arrivals area where Leeya stood waving. "You're finally here!" she exclaimed. She ran over and gave me a big hug, nearly squeezing the breath out of me. "Congratulations on finally being free!"

PRETEND PRINCESS

PRETEND PRINCESS

A noise of panic and fright tore from my lips as I turned to run towards the next riddle, Creed behind me—breathless, bewildered, yet so fucking near. I swallowed, taking a step forward before I could think twice. "It's being able to breathe without feeling you owe someone every breath. It's being yourself without… fear, freedom is like a water fall, and you won't ever experience it if you don't get rid of the things that hold you back." I say trying to fill in the silence The moment suspended—something genuine and stripped bare between us. I tried my best to not look in his direction, but I couldn't fight it I turned

This book is really interesting and I'm waiting for more updates. Yuyu really is a walking colour disaster sometimes but I love it. Both Creed and Yuyu should sort out their messy relationship before getting together. I can already sense the tension though. Good job author and success to this book

The Billionaire’s Blood-Oath Bride

The Billionaire’s Blood-Oath Bride

"I was so focused on the next step, the next move, and the next 'win' that I completely missed the fact that I was building my own prison. I thought if I just did enough, worked hard enough, or reached the next milestone, I’d finally be free. I didn't realize that freedom wasn't a destination—it was just the ability to sit still." Silas moved closer, reaching out to tuck a strand of hair behind my ear. His touch was firm and grounding. "We all do that. We look for freedom in the things that are easiest to measure—money, success, or just getting through the day. But none of those things actually make you free. You’re only free when you stop caring about what the world expects from your output

Pregnant and Jailed: Revenge on my Quadruplet’s Father

Pregnant and Jailed: Revenge on my Quadruplet’s Father

To not sound too bitter or make it seem like I just talked about myself but dahlia still manages to read the room. Of course she’s smart enough to realize I’ve spin the topic to myself. And she doesn’t fail to show it as she turns to look at me with a sober expression on her face. “But I think freedom is a choice you know,” She pause. “Sometimes, you can never be good enough for yourself no matter how you try. It’s up to you, to free yourself from the shackles of doing their biddings and live for yourself. Only a coward would keep being a pawn for their family even when they know it’s time to let loose.”

The Billionaire’s Gilded Cage

The Billionaire’s Gilded Cage

"The cage was never gold. It was you. Your belief. Your acceptance of limitations others imposed. And the moment you rejected that belief, you were free. Everything else—the fighting, the rescuing, the building—that was just you living your freedom. Choosing who to be instead of accepting who you were told to be." "I never saw it that way." "Because you were living it. But I watched it. Watch you transform from trapped to free. From surviving to living. From weapon to person to mother to hero to just... you. Complicated, flawed, powerful, human you." Euna leaned her head on her mother's shoulder. "Thank you for showing me that freedom isn't about circumstances. It's about choice. About rejec

he continued, still teasing me. However, I turned solemn and told him, "Marley, I'm a divorced woman, and I've also had an abortion." I didn't look into his still-sparkling eyes because I felt some guilt eating into me. I didn't want to taint his pure, innocent soul with my tattered self. "We're not fit for each other." Marley didn't speak for a long time. I tried hiding my sigh of relief. As expected, it was easier to reject him if I was just honest and straightforward with him.

A Free Relationship

A Free Relationship

Maisie said, "I thought you'd call me foolish for standing by him when he was down, only to step aside for his mistress now that he's successful." "What's foolish about that?" Quincy replied. "Forcing yourself to live a life that doesn't make you happy just to please others? Now that's foolish." After hanging up, Maisie sank into her couch, lost in thought. Life felt like a windup toy. Every day, she wound herself tightly and danced through laughter and cheer, attracting countless admirers with her vibrancy. But now, she just wanted to set herself aside and gather dust. There was a certain comfort in letting herself fall apart—at least she'd be comfortable.

I already suspected that Ethan has a terminal illness! Though this is only a fictional storyline, but in reality, first, there are still a lot of ways for a remedy to an illness even cancer especially nowadays with so much advance technology in finding a cure

I enjoyed this story the most of the shorts I’ve read over the past few days. It had a great ending, not like the trashy endings of others. It made you torn, wondering who you’re rooting for, Ethan or Seth. It was very touching, one that will stay with you for a while. Reading it again is a must!

Breaking Free From Broken Love

Breaking Free From Broken Love

The Morettis don't just run the city. In some parts of this country, they are the law. So if I ever wanted a real shot at freedom, I had to disappear somewhere they'd never think to look. I packed a couple bags and headed for the old valley near where my parents used to live; God rest their souls. That place was so remote it didn't even show up right on GPS. And I knew, deep down, none of the Morettis would even think to look there.
