Alice thought quickly and pulled out the knives on the dead men's bodies. She hurled the first knife at the wolf she noticed had a bad arm. He was running but not as fast as the other one. The wolf dodged in time, but had no time to regain his balance and swiftly dodge the second knife, which buried itself firmly between his eyes. Alice smiled, satisfied that her plan worked.

Alice replied, offering a fair exchange. "I want two slices of cake if I eat this apple slice," Alisha countered, bargaining for a sweeter deal. Alice chuckled at Alisha's negotiation, impressed by her bargaining skills even in her weakened state. "Two slices it is, but you have to finish the apple slice first," Alice agreed, knowing that the promise of cake would motivate Alisha to eat the fruit. Alisha hesitated for a moment, eyeing the apple slice with reluctance. She knew she needed to eat something nutritious, but the thought of indulging in two slices of cake was too tempting to resist.

Alice replied "Except for that octopus soup. I think I saw one still moving in someone's bowl" Jennifer said making a disgusted look on her face "Okay,so now I know what I'm not getting" Alice said grossed out "I would probably get some fried brown rice with some orange chicken and steak" "That sounds good,especially with some onions and bell peppers" Alice said rubbing her stomach "Omg,yes! With extra orange chicken" "I wonder why people are so negative about Chinese food"

Alexis was puzzled. “Nothing, I just want to make it up to my son and you. There's Crocodile Sisig, Chicken Binakol, Kinilaw, and Pinakbet. If you want anything else, just tell me. I'll order,” Alice answered, then smiled. “Alice, you don't have to always be extravagant. But thanks. Just a reminder, I'm here for Javi, not for you, okay? You don't have to make it up to me,” Alexis replied, which annoyed Alice.

"Or is it you I should poison instead? That it? Poison? Right under your nose?" Aldo looked away and exhaled tightly. I went back to writing, pressing the pen harder. The ink bit into the page. I looked down at the growing list. Good olive oil. Almonds. Fresh mint. Brown sugar. Slaked lime.

I explained briefly, pushing the cup gently in front of him. “Ah!” He exclaimed, looking at the disposable fork and spoons on the table. Kayla and I noticed how he creased his forehead, eyeing the cutlery on the table. “Don’t wonder, Alex. She used to live alone, remember? She has one of everything. You need to go shopping,” Kayla said, eating the ravioli, then her eyes sparkled. “Mmm… This is good. Where did you buy this?” “My Kitchen by Chef Allie. I know the owner,” I said proudly, copying Alaska as she told us yesterday and causing Alex to chuckle.

Alice said taking out strawberries, grapes, and cut up melons. “I think it might be personal.” Garold said, sitting down at the island watching Alice. “It still seems stupid to risk it.” Alice said, biting into a strawberry. “Can you fight?” Garold asked her shortly. “A Little. When I need to.” Alice said her brows frowning at him as she picked up a purple grape and popped it into her mouth. “We will need to ensure you can.” Garold said, making a mental note of it. Alice chuckled at him shaking his head and slid the bowl of melon over to him as she bit into another strawberry.

Gently, she cut into my wrist with the blunt knife, and suddenly I became less concerned about my sickness and more scared of dying from an infection. "Is it working?" I asked as blood dripped from my wrist and into the steel bowl beneath. "Camille?" "It might if you stop talking." She said with her eyes shut. I waited impatiently for something to happen and it was then I noticed the red powder on the blunt knife. "What is that?" I asked but by then whatever it was had started taking effect on me. I growled in pain as my bones snapped and my veins popped out. My Alpha eyes appeared and my sharp canines sprouted out. "What have you done?" I asked, struggling to resist the shift.

With a smile, he says, “There’s no rush. Let’s eat first, and we’ll talk more slowly later.” The food arrives—plates of brightly colored vegetables placed in front of us. I force myself not to laugh; these dishes are simply unattractive to a werewolf. Yet Alvar isn’t the least bit displeased. He enjoys these “healthy meals,” skillfully slicing the carrots with his knife and eating them one by one as if they’re the most delicious food in the world. Throughout the meal, he looks up from time to time, his fiery gaze locking onto mine as if he’s communicating with me through his eyes.

"You're welcome, sister-in-law. I’ll head home now." After making sure Rumi was out of sight, Alice went inside the house. After cleaning up, she remembered she had asked Tina to buy some ingredients for dinner earlier that day. So, as soon as she entered the kitchen, Alice began preparing crab, squid, and shrimp that Tina had bought. Since Ashton loved seafood, Alice decided to cook everything with Padang sauce and black pepper. "Uhmm... this tastes amazing, Ms. Alice. Mr. Ashton is so lucky to have such a talented wife like you."
