I gritted my teeth, held my woozy head up as best I could, and sliced into the newly formed skin on her neck. Alice’s hands scrabbled against mine, her sharp nails scratching at my fingers as she pried the knife from me. It fell to the ground with a dull clink, and I stared up at her, sheer terror lighting my eyes as my last hope was wrenched out of my bloody hands.

“I don’t know. Maybe.” I pick up my fork, then leap over my fallen chair and sprint for one of the shadows hovering a few feet over Amora’s head. Lashing out with the silverware, I rake the fork across the shadow, and it screams in response. The sound is horrific, like nails on a chalkboard. As I slash out again with Farmer John’s best silverware, I grunt, “We gotta remember to keep weapons at the dinner table.” Kian lets out a sound of disgust and doesn’t bother responding.

Lucas replied, signaling Alice when Arianna turned. " Im not fine." He mouthed. " It's good that you can admit that I am a good cook. I might not be world standard chef like Ari here, but I can make a decent meal." Alice touched her chest telling him to relax, she still had the antidote in her room. Arianna noticed their silent communication and decided to leave the room. " Let me quickly grab my phone." She said. " How could you be stupid? That food was laced with wolfsbane!" Alice muttered angrily.
