She didn’t care whether Caroline regained her memory or not, the girl was still the same nobody.

It was all coming back to me. I looked at Alice, my eyes welling up with tears. "I remember," I whispered, my voice shaking with emotion. "I remember everything now." Alice's eyes widened in surprise. "Did you forget anything?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper. I nodded, feeling a pang of guilt. "I'm really sorry for forgetting you again. I'm really sorry." Her face softened, and she hugged me tightly. "It's fine, it's not even your fault," she whispered.

When I finished, she inhaled deeply. “Damon,” she said, voice steady but cold, “you have to let her go.” My head jerked up. “What? “Stop beating yourself up on something that isn’t worth it!” “Okay.” she replied flatly. “Good.” Jane nodded and gasped, walking out of the room. Alice still didn’t look up. She was getting fed up with the feelings that kept on fondling on her mind. Her hand split between the scatted brown hair out of her face, to the back as she sniffed. She gazed across the room and her eyes and nose were all red and swollen. “You won’t understand, Jane. It’s impossible to forget Adam. I need to do something.”
