His eyes remain on mine, holding my gaze with his intense stare, but then the sadness I saw minutes ago returns to his eyes, and he sighs.
“Tris… I'm so sorry you got hurt! I should have stayed with you. I should have never left you alone,” Walker said sadly. However, I barely heard anything after he called me Tris. I was stuck on the nickname. No one had ever called me that before. No one had ever given me a nickname. At least not a nice one.
Nicknames from my past were anything but pleasant. Fagot was the most common one. But Tris… that was pleasant, and unexpected… I liked it. I liked it a lot!
