The cover showed a silver tree and a red door, titled: THE GHOSTS OF THE INK. The woman flipped to the last page, glanced at the words, then at Maya. "You’re not supposed to be here," she said, voice shaking with both fear and thrill. "The book ends with you dying in the white space. I just finished reading it ten minutes ago." Maya looked at the book. The ink on the page was shifting—new words, fresh and alive, wrote themselves as she watched. The woman glanced at the sky. "Oh no," she whispered. "The Readers—they didn’t vanish. They followed you into the real world."

Shaking her head, she said, "But aren't you only like that because you idiotically accepted an accursed book from a nobody? You said, you don't even believe in ghosts before you got that." He sighed and took out the book which always appeared inside his pocket for several months now. The book was giving off a mysterious vibe due to its black worn-out cover featuring a faceless monster. He got it from a fake friend who had styled himself as a book collector. Nathan was a horror writer so he accepted the creepy book. His initial objective was only to look for more ideas and inspiration. Who would have thought the horror writer who never believed in ghost would suddenly start seeing creepy ghos

For a moment, I thought it was the scent of the ghost-some of the books I had read while growing up had mentioned that ghosts usually have scents and that’s how a few special people in the fantasy books had been able to tell that a ghost had been at a particular place or was there at the present. Now watching him, looking around the room, before his eyes came in contact with mine and stayed, I was beginning to wonder if my theory of the ghosts was true. It sure was written in fantasy books, but isn’t my life and pack, a fantasy to the reality of plain ordinary humans? Perhaps, just perhaps...the ghost theory might be right. "Did the Alpha sleep here?" He asked, peering at me closely.

Layla, still shaking, lifted a trembling hand and pointed toward the window. “A ghost,” she whispered. “It’s a ghost.” “Ghost?” Lucian echoed, walking toward the window. She nodded frantically, clinging to him like a frightened child. He closed his eyes briefly and shook his head when he noticed her phone lying open on the bed. “You were reading a ghost novel?” he asked flatly. Layla nodded. “But I heard something. I swear.” “It’s just dry branches and leaves rustling,” he said calmly. “Nothing else.”

Was that how he knew she could see ghosts? I shake my head and turn my gaze back to the book in my hand. I turned to the first page and began reading through

His books told me otherwise. I didn’t break my rhythm, stacking, straightening, dusting as though nothing at all had caught my attention. But the pattern was set, and I never ignored patterns. Three days in a row. Three books building a trail into shadows. And I was already following. ~~~~~~ The fourth day. He returned. No glasses slipping down as he read this time. She asked before Mr Martins audibly cleared his throat. "Uhm. The book" He turned to Zach. "The book you're holding unto from the library?" Then Zach pulled out a significant novel from his jacket trying his best to shield the title from Regina- -the title that was clearly shown on the other sides, the voices in your head. -a psychological true life thriller about a young boy with the gift of hearing dead people's voices. And Zach had wandered, if there was a chance--it was his gift, and if maybe his was paranormal.
