Godfrey said, flashing his fangs. I jumped a bit but managed to compose myself. I knew he was doing this for dramatic effect, but fuck if it wasn’t working on me too. His face is wild, his body tense, almost rabid with rage. “My prince!” Godfrey gets to his feet, ignoring his now swollen face, and then lowers his head and kneels. “I apologize. Godfrey’s eyes widen, and he quickly lowers his head again. “You should lose that hand you touched her with!” Raphael growls. Godfrey lifts his hand, presenting it to him. Raphael steps forward, rage burning, but I grab his arm. “Stop!”
