Dante opened the top drawer of his desk, pulled out a clean sheet, and slid it across to him without hesitation.
Leo picked it up, looked at both sides of it, and then looked back up. "Do you have a pencil?"
Dante produced one from the same drawer.
Leo took it and settled back in the chair and started drawing without another word, his tongue pressed to the corner of his mouth the way it always was when he was concentrating, and Dante watched him for a moment and then looked back at his own work and the office went quiet in a way that wasn't uncomfortable, just two people in a room doing separate things, which was not the kind of quiet she had expected to find in here.
