It is appealing, isn't it?” he smiles, gaping at the sketch. “How much for this?” Mr Gordon smiles, tearing the page off the book. “Name your prize, I'm keeping it.” He gives the book back to Archie.

This was a commission I paid for from a very dear artist friend by the name of Rydi on DeviantART also known as lucia-garcia on ArtCorgi. We've known each other for a long time now, and I was super happy she gave me permission to use the old commissions in this way, so if you like her style, feel free to check her out.

LILY'S POV “Hello? Yes, Mrs. Calloway, I’m still here…Sorry, the line cut for a second,” I said, pressing the phone between my shoulder and ear as I rummaged through a drawer for my sketchbook. The wedding planner’s voice crackled through the line, cheerful and rushed. “No problem, dear. I just wanted to confirm your floral arrangement…you mentioned wanting lilies, right?” “Yes….white lilies and maybe a touch of blush roses around the altar…. Liam loves lilies,” I said, smiling unconsciously as I balanced my coffee cup in one hand and a pen in the other.

Though I wasn’t really vain enough to say my body was fantastic in them, the quality of the photos themselves was undeniable. Arthur truly was an artist. There was this indescribable beauty to the photos, a softness that he somehow captured. I guess I could see now why he was so determined to get these pictures. He really was creating art. The lettering reminds me of "The Book of Kells," a real work of art. But I do not have the time to carefully examine the intricate patterns and designs created in different colored inks.

Today, we are reading The Art of Forbidden by Linda Lively, and from the very moment I flipped through its pages, my face had been hot. Naturally, everyone thought it would be for people to take turns reading aloud. But I wasn't really in the mood to read, not after what the police said to me.
