Novel & Cerita Got Books Shelby

155 Shania adjusted the stack of books in her arms as she stepped into the cozy library at the foundation’s headquarters. This had quickly become her favorite spot to retreat to, a quiet space where stories lived and dreams flourished. A part of her still marveled at how far things had come. The library was bustling with activity as kids and young adults flipped through pages of novels and textbooks. Shania watched a young girl named Tasha animatedly discuss a book with her peers, her shy demeanor replaced by an infectious enthusiasm.

He needs to get into her good books to ask a lot of things about Shelby. How had she been doing? Her number? Where she lives and so on.

I don't even give them a chance to reconsider telling me that I could not eat before immediately picking up my tray and turning away. He told me to leave, and at least they are letting me eat. Shelby is nowhere to be found when I glance around; she must be hiding outside. I sneer at a couple girls who make faces at me as I walk out the cafeteria. A few minutes later, I see her. Shelby is reading a book and picking at her lunch on one of the concrete tables in the middle of the court yard. "Hey, girl," I say, laying down my tray next to her and sat down.

And I know she only agreed to avoid causing more of a scene. We’re almost through the main course whilst Atticus’s beta tells Hugh about something Shelby did many years ago. An act of bravery, it seems. Hugh smiles at her as he takes her hand and gives it a squeeze. “Shelby has always been brave,” he says. “It’s just a shame we didn’t meet for so many years,” she replies softly, resting her head against his shoulder. I look away, gazing down at my mate instead, giving them their privacy. But that remark makes me think about life in general.

He whispered, “He used a few years to become the richest man in Glenchester, so he must have his ways. Don’t worry. I’ve already arranged for more men to infiltrate the place. We’ll get an update soon.” Sylvia simply hummed a reply since there was nothing else she could do at the moment. … Sherry returned to her passive days of eating and sleeping. Queenie and Hailey visited her two days later, probably worried that she might be bored. They appeared outside the window and called out to her, “Sherry, we brought you some books. Maybe they can help you kill some time.” The books were placed in a box and tied to a rope. Hailey held the box while Queenie swung the other end of the rope and tossed

She checked out of the hospital and got ready to head back to the hotel. Zara was the first to drop by, checking on Shelby's well-being. She breathed a sigh of relief when she heard Shelby was okay. Everyone knew it was the Nox family who had tried to snatch the evidence, though no one said it out loud. However, Shelby blinked and revealed, "I'm fine, and so is the evidence." She rarely acted so cheeky, which made Zara's eyes widen in surprise. "I thought it was taken?" Shelby grinned. "For big cases, I always have a plan B. The documents I carry are just copies. The real deal is locked up in a safe, and I don't take them out until it's time for court."

Miss Shelby smiled, "Oh and be very careful. That book's older than you are." "I will." I chuckled, remembering how Miss Shelby used to tell me that all the time as a child. Breyona was never interested in books like her Mom and Dad. I, on the other hand had always loved to read. Her Mom and Dad would spend days shoving books in my face and even talk to me about them once I had finished.

They are one of the strongest characters. The rest of the day, I spend time reading books that I borrowed from Shelby. They were about dinosaurs and their history. I knew she was obsessed with dinosaurs and I guessed she would have lots of books about them; my guess was true. I drained myself on the books. I hardly went for tea in the evening because I was busy reading. One could already tell me that I am a nerd, because I am, and you know it. By the time Ivan called me for supper, I had finished reading two thick books about their origin and evolution. I returned them to Shelby afterward and she was quite excited about it.

"Even if she thinks she can do it alone and proven she's more than capable, I won't allow anyone to touch her." Shelby smiles back and they're caught in a private moment. Shelby told me their story last night while the brothers watched a baseball game on TV. Their romance was funny, dangerous, and exciting. I want a love story just like theirs. A few minutes later, Linc hands a sleeping Carson back to me. "One more box and all the crap is gone from my place." "Hey," Shelby says. Linc winks at me again and walks out. Shelby and I wait on the couch. My eyes drift closed. I feel like all I've done is sleep for days. I never dreamed giving birth takes this much out of you. Rack's voice wakes me.

I pulled my phone out of the clutch I was carrying and sent a quick text to Aubrey and Lin. Shelby: I just got laughed at for wanting to become a lawyer. I need to get away from these people. Aubrey: Do you want me to book you that flight? Shelby: Yes, I’m ready to come home. Aubrey: Bad news. The flight tomorrow is booked. Shelby: When is the next flight out of here? Aubrey: In two days. Shelby: Book it. I will just find a way to hide out for one more day.
