The engine growled as the car rolled onto the main road, tires crunching over loose gravel. Gabriel slumped back into the passenger seat, his breathing shallow, while Davina tapped the screen, setting the route.
“Got it,” she muttered, nodding as the GPS began to speak in a tinny voice.
