Seven reached out, her fingers catching a thick, dangling strand of fiber-optic cabling that was swaying like a giant pendulum. With a grunt of effort that strained the tendons in her neck, Seven swung toward Maya, her boots slamming into a passing piece of structural reinforced plastic to redirect her momentum. She grabbed Maya’s shoulder, the impact nearly dislocating Maya’s arm, and pulled her toward the central pillar of the Spire; the only part of the structure that wasn't yet in freefall.
