They walked back into the cathedral's main sanctuary.
Sable was at the window. His body went rigid.
"Cars," he said. "Multiple vehicles. They're here."
The doors of the cathedral began to open.
A man walked through them. He was older, distinguished, with silver hair and eyes that looked like he'd been judging people for eternity and found them all lacking.
