She halted, her heart racing as she stared wide-eyed at a nightmare made flesh. The creatures standing before her weren't Lycans; no, they stood over seven feet tall, their frames bulging with muscles, mangy dark fur covering almost half their bodies beneath tattered clothes, with sharp fangs glinting in the moonlight. Their red eyes tracked her every movement, as though they were waiting for her to make the wrong move so they could tear her apart. Matthew punched and kicked every single tentacle that came his way but there were too many. Echolocation didn’t work with all the tentacles distorting it. Instead of looking for Kirilov, Matthew looked for Halcyon who was probably waiting for the right moment to attack. Matthew mustered astra into his palm and blasted it at Halcyon. Halcyon did not see it coming amongst all the tentacles and was hit in the chest.
