After I finished eating, I lay my body down on the ground, and soon, Xander joined me. “Come here,” Xander mumbled, ushering for me to lie down in his embrace. I immediately obeyed. I felt him wrap his arm around my shoulder as I placed my head on his chest. Truthfully, I didn't know what we were doing. This was a dangerous game and I think we were both aware of that. I looked up at the sky and saw a shooting star, making me smile a little. “Make a wish,” I whispered to him before making my own wish. I only wanted one thing. I just wanted to know who I was.

He had no choice but to stop talking. With such friends, what else couldn’t he bet on? Upon thinking that, he turned into a Sword Light without hesitation and entered the black-white-amethyst-gold halo where his main self of Path was. Then, a dazzling Xaria Light erupted from the amethyst-gold halo. The halo surged and was pulled to the top of the gray clouds.

He then turned back to Halo, holding it out to her. "Before we talk, open this first." Halo blinked, hesitating before reaching for the box. The moment her fingers brushed against it, she felt the weight of whatever was inside. She glanced up at him, confused. Talon only smirked. "You might want to sit down for this."

Mira, Elda, the twins, and I turned on the others, cutting them down individually until only Halo remained. We gathered in a semicircle, watching Holly and Halo fight with unrestrained rage. “Why, Halo?!” Holly roared. “Why did you do all this?!” “Because he rejected me!” Halo’s scream split the night. “He rejected me and chose that pathetic woman as his Luna! And to make it worse, she was his second chance mate! Why does he get happiness while I get nothing?!” Her tears glistened, though her voice was soaked in venom.

Sean had to leave early because of a contract his company needed to finalize. Before he went, he patted my shoulder reassuringly. "I will be back soon. Wait for me." I saw his glistening eyes, and a strange mix of emotions slowly welled up inside me. "You don't have to. Go handle your business," I said. "No, I have to make sure this money is properly accounted for," Sean insisted. "Okay," I relented. By the time I sent Sean off, Mr. Harrison had already finished his speech. "Next, please welcome our charity ambassador, Vera Hawthorn, to the stage for her speech."

It clunks against Ali's head, returning to the narrow cylinder as he falls. Halo turns, dodging the swing of a machete, and a simple, black staff by turning his body into an opposite arc. The weapons hit the ground, and Halo lifts his leg high, then brings it down atop the mercenary now on his right. In one swift movement, he pulls out his pistols and their tips glow blue as candescent projectiles fly.

He could lose everything, but he couldn't lose her. Malakai took Eden's halo and broke it in half creating two horns instead. The halo that represented innocence was what Malakai broke and turned it into a killer. He took an angel and turned her into a devil. But deep down, she always remained an angel. Malakai's angel. Even with her broken halo. So, like I said. This wasn't a story about heroes and villains, this was all about the villains. Because villains will always be villains if the heroes tell the story. So I decided to tell you a story from the villain's point of view.

“His warehouse. His shipments. His men. Gone.” Her eyes widen, but she doesn’t flinch. “And tomorrow?” she asks. “Tomorrow he bleeds again.” She looks at me for a long moment, then reaches for my hand. Her fingers brush the torn skin at my knuckles, gentle where the world is not. “Saint,” she whispers. “How many wars can you fight before one swallows you?” I don’t answer. I can’t. Because I know the truth, there is no end. Not until one of us is dead.

Kwen's POV: The lights of the car was used to light up the battlefield. Halo and I had had enough. 'I got it this time.' Halo said to me. I felt my eyes glow and my nails elongated into claws. Within a second, one of the men flew towards, hitting me, full force. I fell back, hitting a tree. I bounced off it, falling to the ground. The man made snide remarks, laughing. "What happened to all that mouth?!! I thought you wanted to leave? Did you give up on that little dream??!"
