I said between breaths. Jensen’s POV We arrived at the warehouse and the new recruits were already waiting for us. They looked like a good group and looked ready to start training. Today would be their first day dealing with the shipments. Jacob and I approached the men. “Alright, gentlemen today you will learn the ropes and learn how to deal with shipments when they come in. So follow us and we will get started.” Jacob and I took the men in the warehouse and went over all the details and showed them around the warehouse. After a few hours, I was convinced they were all ready for tonight’s shipment. It was five o’clock and we would be headed out to the docks in about thirty minutes. That’s w

he explains, looking down at his extended hands as he talks, as if they might inspire some world changing idea. "Which Alphas?" I question apprehensively. Jasper thinks for a moment. "I know you won't like this, but Landon and Malik are important." I sigh through my nose. Those two nearly ripped each other apart last time they were together. Instead of arguing, I simply nod, letting Jasper continue. "We need Alpha of Harmony, Noah..." My heart drops. "I don't think Noah and I are on good terms at the moment," I say uneasily. After what happened the night of the gala, when I got protective over Lexia, and admittedly, a little pushy, Noah and I's relationship has been on the edge.

So far no teacher had taken a test and I had no problem taking it. When I arrived at the classroom, everyone was surprised to see me, they thought I had been kicked out. I walked to one of the farthest chairs in the amphitheater. I remembered that this was my class with Harold, but I did not feel any regret, he was a dangerous person, he had lost his sanity because of jealousy, besides he had a somewhat dirty record for harassment and committing other crimes, he was the most dangerous of all. The teacher at the time spoke a little about him before starting the class.

“No. You’ll see, Jessica. When it’s over, when it’s all said and done, we’ll have everything we’ve ever wanted. Drake will have Calla, and we’ll be back on top. This is how it has to be.” Jessica’s eyes lingered on him, filled with a mix of disbelief and sorrow. She wasn’t sure what to say anymore, so she turned and walked out of the room, leaving Harold alone with his plans. As the door clicked shut behind her, Harold’s smile remained, a cruel reflection of the power he sought to reclaim. The game was in motion now, and nothing would stop it.

The victorious smile he flashed in my direction made my blood boil. “We will start with Mr. Jenkins since he arrived on time!” I looked up to see the determined look in Zion’s eyes. I knew what he was aiming at! He wanted to give me a hard time. I was fine with it. Mr. Jenkins sprang from his seat to start his presentation while I occupied the seat at the far end, as far away from Zion as possible. It made him give me an annoyed look, but I ignored him and the empty seats on either side of him.

The receptionist eyed me up and down before giving me a questioning look. You could tell she didn’t believe me. “What’s your name?” “Hazel Thompson.” She clicked a few times on the computer before smiling and getting up. “Derek, the manager, is waiting for you in his office. That is who you will be seeing about your employment.” She said as she gestured at a door on her right.
