He closed his eyes and cursed softly before for the second time that evening proceeding to count his numbers to avoid spotting a hard on for his mate that hated him to her bones. Slowly his harshed breathing calmed down and he slipped into sleep world. ***** Daphne’s POV I stirred with a smile plastered on my face… the thought that I had him as my driver was a sign that my plans were working. I needed to put them in a tight spot, I had the best dream of my life to back it up. They were all dressed in partially nothing and were crawling towards me…I shivered as the feeling of dominating these dominant and proud peacocks pleased me.

I stood there, helpless, as they worked around him. “Please step outside,” someone said, guiding me toward the door. I barely felt it, I barely heard it. My mind was still stuck on his words. The door closed in front of me and just like that—I was alone again only this time…It wasn’t just heartbreak waiting for me on the other side. Hermes thought his legs were going to give out when she suddenly stood up with a smile. "You were right; I needed a closer look," Daphne said. Hermes couldn't take it anymore. He lifted her so she would wrap her legs around him. "Enough playing." He said as he put her back against the wall and slammed into her. Daphne held onto him tightly as he thrust into her repeatedly. Her eyes rolled back in her head; it was even better than she had expected. Without thinking, her canines extended, and she bit into his neck. Hermes' legs buckled from the intense sparks. When she pulled her head back, he chuckled.

I recently heard the news that he’d been seen escorting someone named Daphne, apparently a beautiful young woman from House Apollo whose father is a general in Ares’ army. The rumors are that they are to become betrothed. I should be happy for Andy. A friend would be happy, right? But instead, I have this unsettled feeling in the pit of my stomach. I don’t want him to be betrothed to this Daphne or anyone. For all I know, she is his soulmate; if not, she’s someone he loves or thinks of in that way. Harper wiped a tear from her own face and hugged me tightly. “Why are you crying, silly girl?” I asked softly. “I’m so happy, Daphne,” she said, her voice catching. “You’ve gone through so much in this pack. You’ve been pushed down, judged, almost lost everything, and now…” she trailed off, overwhelmed with emotion. She held me closer. “I’ve always been your number one fan, Daphne. I always will be,” she whispered. I laughed softly and hugged her back. “I know, Harper. You’re my second love after Theo, obviously,” I teased, making her giggle. The other ladies laughed along, and for a moment, the tension in the room eased.

She gasped for air, her vision blurring as the pressure increased. “Let me go!” Daphne whimpered, her voice barely a whisper as she struggled against his grip. Fear surged through her, her mind racing with desperation as she clawed at his hands, trying to free herself. The room spun around her, and she felt her strength fading, the cold grip of panic setting in as she realized just how close she was to losing consciousness.
