The arrow had pierced his arm. A groan ripped from his mouth as his fingers left my neck and while I took to my heels, one question kept popping up in my mind.

Slowly, Archer placed an arrow on the string of his bow, jarring Aurora’s hold on his arm. Hiding his disappointment, the prince aimed at the deer, and let go. Bull’s eye.
