She trilled, pulling me in the halls as we both danced as if no one was watching, which they were not since we were the only students in the halls, giggling still on the ghost incident. She went through the court yard on the side of it was a crystal glass greenhouse, it shined as we walked further. The sun hit right on the spot having the light rays reflect off and make mini- rainbows on the side. You couldn’t see what was inside, it looked like an illusion spell to make it look like the fog was there.

“There must be something we can do in this house.” Percy rolled his shoulders, his eyes diverting for a second. I have to say this because it’s bothering me. Percy has no right to be this beautiful. The centre of the space had been transformed into an elegant tea setting. Small white tables were adorned with lace cloths and arrangements of fresh blooms. Plates of delicate pastries and teacups filled with amber liquid completed the picture of refinement.

At the epicenter of the greenhouse is an expensive and luxuriously polished, custom-made green wooden dining table and chairs.

Within was a room made of glittering panels of glass, full of vibrant plants I’d never seen before. It was a greenhouse, I realized. I stepped inside, succumbing to the plethora of sweet and bitter scents when the door swung shut behind me. Once again trying to reach Draco or Azrael through mind-link, I pressed forward and ventured into the maze of plants. There were bushels of flowers in vast arrays of colors. Some shimmered and sparkled beneath the heavy beams of sunlight pouring through the rippling glass, while others changed colors entirely. Vines capped with spiked leaves crawled up golden trellises, nearly kissing the domed ceiling high above my head.

Vanora decided to show me the green house first. We stayed at ground level the whole way there. We walked on a small path through the thick grass and trees. Eventually a glass dome came into view. It was the largest greenhouse I had ever seen. When we entered his comforting scent of pine and cinnamon hit my nose. I looked around for him, finding him towards the back with Evandrus. Charles seemed to be trying to hide his anger as he caught sight of us. He and Evandrus wrapped their conversation up in hushed voices.

I mean, sure, I spot some roses because I’m not completely useless, but the rest? No clue what planet they’re from. The scent, though? Heavenly. Like Mother Nature herself just slapped you in the face with perfume.

They nodded in approval. I didn’t argue when they blow-dried my hair and styled it like I was meeting royalty. When they pulled out the makeup brushes, I shook my head. “No makeup. The greenhouse looked like a dream painted in golds and greens. A glass room filled with overgrown orchids and rare roses and little hanging pots that dripped like teardrops from the ceiling.
