“Oh, she might have been drained with everything going on. No problem.”
“If you’re done eating, you should take her food to her,” her mom instructed one of the girls in the room.
“No, Mom. I will take it to her.” Arita interrupted.
I smiled, knowing everything was working out as I had planned.
Minutes later, we were already outside the field where she usually trained.
Arita stood in the middle while I cast chants and spells.
The cloud rumbled again. This time it was darker than before.
