He's Just Not That Into You Movie Novels & Stories

“I can’t fathom why you would need a surrogate. For God’s sake, women must be throwing themselves at your feet.” Okay, that wasn’t the least bit eloquent. Or tactful. Though it has to be a true fact. He lets out another low, sexy chuckle and I’m in need of more effervescent sips. My insides are not doing me any favors tonight. I can’t control the sizzling through my veins or the jumping of my pulse. He queries, “You’ve seen Pretty Woman, right?” “Everyone has seen Pretty Woman,” I confirm. “I’m that guy. No time or tolerance for romantic entanglements.”

I moved to his side to see, but he shut the laptop. “Nothing much. Just a personal project I've been working on.” He replied evasively. “Secret personal project huh? What is it? An only fans page?” I teased. I sat down across from him and waved to Camilla who had spotted me, and was waving vigorously. “I think Camilla likes you, you know?” Mateo said, ignoring my jab. “I think so too. Not into older chicks though.” I shrugged, “no matter how hot.” “You're missing out. Older chicks rule.” He grabbed his Doritos and opened them. This seemed to send Camilla's aunt into a frenzy and she called him over.

“I told you it’d be different. No fancy restaurants, no press, no flashing cameras. Just us.” “Us and a giant screen,” she teased. He leaned in close, brushing his thumb against her cheek. “Exactly. Us and a giant screen.” Anna turned away, cheeks flushing. She reached for the popcorn. “So what are we watching again?” He grinned. “A classic — The Notebook.” Her jaw dropped. “You’re kidding.” “Nope.” He took a sip of soda, handing it to her. “It suits us — a little chaos, a lot of love, and someone’s bound to cry.”

“Since I’m trying to stay on your good side.” I tried to roll my eyes, but the truth was, that little gesture softened me more than the flowers or chocolates had. Without saying anything, I grabbed the ice cream tub, plopped it onto the coffee table, and switched on the TV. “Movie?” I asked. He didn’t hesitate. “Yeah. Something dumb. Nothing sad, nothing deep. Just… easy.” So we scrolled until we landed on a rom-com, one of those predictable ones where you know the couple will end up together after a hundred misunderstandings. I curled up on the couch, legs tucked under me, while Jaxon stretched out, taking up half the space like he owned it.

"Why wouldn't I want to?" Juno stopped at a window overlooking the fog-wrapped grounds. "Because of him. Because Silas looks at you like you're the reason he's still here. Because part of you, the part that remembers things you shouldn't remember, that dreams about fires, mirrors and a name that isn't yours knows you belong here." "I don't—"

What? He leaned in, close enough that I felt his breath. "I like you. I'm going to pursue you." I blinked, then laughed. "Are you always this direct?" He smiled, finally dropping that polite distance. "No. Just with someone I like. And you're the first. I've never dated. Never saw the point—I handled my own emotions fine. But—" He held my gaze. "Then I met you." A beat. "Belinda, sooner or later, you're going to be mine."

It wasn’t a question. Heat rushed to Ethan’s face. “That’s not the point.” “It is to me.” Ethan glared. “This isn’t funny.” “No.” Don’s voice softened unexpectedly. “It isn’t.” The simple sincerity in those words stole Ethan’s breath. For a moment, everything else faded. The war room. The maps. The men watching. It was just them. Then Ethan did something that surprised even himself. He stepped closer and lowered his voice. “Don’t go.” The words barely rose above a whisper.

“Who’s killing who? Come on, Alex, you’re back with your old man proverbs again.” He almost smiled at that. Almost. “Alright. I have to go. Big day tomorrow.” There was a pause. Then her voice softened, like she was trying to drag him out of whatever shadow he’d slipped into. “I saw the news. You’re shooting a new movie. I love the cast. It’s going to be huge. I’ll be there for the premiere. Hope you picked better talent this time. Apart from Benji and Timothy, the last batch was rubbish.” Alex closed his eyes. “Of course I did. Dummy.”

But the hell I care, why didn't he offer the bottled water to Brienna since she seems thirsty for attention! "Just offer it to someone, I don't need that," I looked at him and sneered, why does he need to sit beside me? I felt even hotter. "Sounds bitter," I sneered at him again and slightly pushed him away. I heard him chuckle and open the bottled water, I couldn't help but glance at him drinking it. I watched his Adam's apple moving up and down, why does he look sexy in my eyes. The heck Lara, stop praising that asshole, he's not good for you!

"I'll clean off before we start the movie." "Let me go in the shower with you." I begged him. "Oh Jane, you know we're just going to go another round of sex, we will eventually not see this movie." He watned me and I shrugged, getting to my feet, putting my hands on his shoulders from behind him while he led the way to the bathroom. We got out of our clothes and he let the tap open. The cold water caused me to hold on to his naked body. "It's fucking cold."
