Amelia’s POV ​The world felt like a powder I had just blown on. My breath let out a simple exhale of shock, and had sent everything I knew about my life tumbling down. Lyra. The name I remember, which was once a comforting thought of an old friend has now tasted like ash. My office, which was once my sanctuary, now felt like a cage. How could I have been so blind? I had been so busy building a fortress around my heart that I had let a wolf into my home. The air felt thin, heavy with the weight of my own unintentional failure.

Swiftly flicking his cigarette, he forcefully turned the steering wheel in the opposite direction, causing the car to spin in circles around the girl. On the other side, Hiya, with her heart pounding, witnessed a black Mercedes approaching rapidly. Overwhelmed with fear, she clasped her hands over her ears and shut her eyes tightly, anticipating an imminent tragedy. In that moment, she believed it was her last day in this world, facing an inevitable and untimely demise.

His breaths against her neck were like thorns piercing into her skin. "Tell me that you are enjoying it." He demanded. "Tell me that I make you feel better than he does." It was then that Ayla realized that he was too lost in his twisted, sick mind to stop now. She could only pray to the heavens up above and to whatever God who was listening to her to make it all stop.
