Mafia Men IV - Vincenzo's Temptation

Mafia Men IV - Vincenzo's Temptation

I asked, unable to shake the unease that flickered within me. "I wouldn't have missed it for the world," Rio replied with a charming grin. He gestured towards the painting with his chin, "What does this mean? A woman in the storm?" I hesitated for a moment, contemplating how much to reveal. "It's about resilience," I began, my gaze lingering on the painting. "It's about enduring the toughest of times, weathering the storms that life throws our way." As I spoke, memories flooded my mind, memories of battles fought and victories won, though not without scars. "It's about finding the strength to keep going, even when everything seems hopeless," I added, my voice softening with emotion. "It's ab

I like Cindy since her name was mentioned in book 1. I know back then Scott just casually mentioned her, but i have a feeling that i'll love her. And i can't thank you enough for writing her story, give her a better judgement. Her life was a mess and I want her to find peace, happiness and a family.

I read all the Mafia Men books and each one has a very interesting story, but this one here with Vince and Claire is so intriguing that you can't put the book down. Even though the book is not finish, I have started from the beginning again. if you find it in your heart to write another, I will read

Her Wolf King

Her Wolf King

"That's exactly what this is. We hold certainty in the clearing by questioning it relentlessly. We hold peace in the grove by letting everything go temporarily. We hold teaching at the forest edge by offering it without demanding acceptance. We hold community in the circle by honouring all perspectives without requiring agreement. We hold truth by staying honest about our uncertainty. We hold beliefs by remaining willing to abandon them if reality contradicts them. We hold everything lightly enough that reality can correct us without destroying us. Is that what you need? Is that what you're seeking? A way to believe truly without believing rigidly? A way to know genuinely without knowing abs

Hellblades

Hellblades

“Fear is what you leave behind.” Then he would laugh softly. “Braveheart is only for the strong. You do want to be strong, don’t you?” I had laughed at him then. “I try to be.” “Don’t try so hard, little peach. Become. And it will take you somewhere.” Do I drop the sphere to save myself? Their faces flickered in the fire. I could still let go, it would indeed be the easiest way out. Instead, I held on tighter. Love is not weakness.

THE ALPHA'S SACRED MISTAKE

THE ALPHA'S SACRED MISTAKE

Hold it. There was a difference between those three things that I was learning through attempting all of them incorrectly. Pushing back created resistance and resistance made the fragment push harder. Letting it run meant the room filled with silver light and my body temperature climbed and the bond to Kael lit up like a wire carrying too much current. Holding it meant something else. A kind of internal conversation. An acknowledgment without surrender. Lyra. I see you. I am here. Not yet. It took me forty minutes the first day to hold it for ten seconds.

Red Wolf's Guardian

While this seemed to make sense to him, I had no idea what he was saying. I frowned. “Meaning?” “Meaning,” he continued, “they’re strongest when the land is calm and the pack is stable. They don’t slam shut. They hold.” “And if someone’s patient,” Duncan said. Luz nodded. “Then they learn where the hold loosens.” My ribs tightened. I didn’t know what this meant, but I could tell that it was something that was important. Victor looked at me then, really looked. “That’s why you’re here.”

The Billionaire's Deaf Bride

The Billionaire's Deaf Bride

She signed: "What was it?" He: "Forgiving him without excusing him. I don't think I'd done that before today." She held his gaze for a long moment. She thought about her own version of this — the years of letters to her aunt, the slow movement from anger to complicated understanding, the work of holding a wrong and a person who had done it in the same frame without collapsing either into the other. She signed: "That's the hardest thing a person can do. Holding both without losing either."

Cannot Hold On to Loved Ones

Cannot Hold On to Loved Ones

My mother murmured under her breath. I lay on the stretcher like a dead fish, my eyelids fluttering. Tears spilled uncontrollably down my face, but I still forced myself to raise my trembling right hand toward my mother. 'Mom, this is something important to you. I haven't shown it to anyone. Why won't you even look at it? Do I disgust you that much?' She let out a sharp cry and jumped back, brushing off her uniform even though no blood had touched it. My hand froze in midair.

she demanded as she stalked closer, glaring with the same quiet stubbornness she’d used on Theodore in his sickbed. “Nothing, ma’am,” Barnes said, all flashing teeth and concerned appearance. “I just know a brand-new husband like yours would be in full protection mode, that’s all. I just figured he’d want to do what’s best for you and this family, town be damned.” Damien wasn’t buying the false concern. That hint of steel underneath Barnes’s facade might make him harder to shake than he’d thought.

Would love a few epilogues to let us know what happened to them & their extended family. The brothers are interesting, Lucas & Joshua. Definitely, this story could be carried forth involving the other characters already introduced. Very sweet story. Loved how the 2 main characters were presented.

Another fantastic love story by E.S.! I can’t wait to read more about these characters. There are some loose ends and story opportunities left open. As always, loads of character development and plot in a relatively quick read.

To Have and To Hold

To Have and To Hold

Do we look like a couple? I pushed that thought away and took in the surroundings. Barricades separated the street from the numerous restaurants. Strings of lights and pots overflowing with flowers added to the unique beauty. I leaned against his arm and whispered. “After the last couple of weeks, I expected gun battles in the streets and boarded-up windows.” “Wars aren’t new. Most people don’t realize what’s happening right under their noses. They’re like you. They want to see the best of people. That pureness of heart isn’t shared by everyone.”
