The First of Her Kind

The First of Her Kind

Her gasp echoed through the silence of the room as she beheld the gruesome scars etched across her chest, disappearing beneath the shadows of her nightgown. Amani's trembling hands moved instinctively, hastily discarding the nightgown to reveal her scar-ridden body in all its disfigured glory. She stood there, vulnerable and exposed, as she stared at her own reflection in horror. Her chest and torso bore a multitude of intersecting scars, a painful reminder of the brutal attack she had endured.

I don’t leave reviews often but when I do it is because an author has done an exceptional job at writing a story that draws you in. This story is one of the best I’ve read on this forum from plot to character development, this story although part of a werewolf trope stands out among the rest!

This is a really beautiful book: very well written with a great plot. The descriptions are intricate & characters complex and loveable. This book deserves to be a paperback! It’s so pleasant to enjoy a gripping story with no grammar or syntactic issues. My favourite book on this platform so far!

The Perfect Enemy

The Perfect Enemy

The Adversary Dark Prince (POV) When people notice the jagged scar on my arm, their eyes often widen with worry, and they jump to conclusions that are far from the truth. It's a common reaction, especially in a world where scars usually hint at pain or violence. But this scar tells a different story—it's not a sign of suffering; it's a symbol of something beautiful and meaningful in my life. Each curve and line of the scar represents resilience and a deep bond that has lasted through challenges, showing that not all scars are reminders of hurt. Instead, it reminds me of love and the strength I've gained along my journey.

I like to give these books fair reviews. This is my first time reading a book on Good Novel that offered a different storyline. I like that it's about marriage but not the way all the books I read portray it. Well done! And recommend ... the others read it!

I’m a reader who doesn’t need to be constantly stimulated. I look for books that tell a good and intriguing story. I feel that will be the readers that will thoroughly enjoy this well written piece of work. Great job author.

Saadiya had suffered a cut to her left arm but it wasn't anything serious, Parvina was attending to her. She looked at Omar and tried to steady her heavy breathing, he had ripped off his throbe and now left with a loose and very transparent under shirt which was no longer white but red and it perfectly outlined his very built muscles, his perspiration having soaked through them, Mariam stared at him for a while until he gave her a thumbs up and she blinked rapidly to clear her head. Focus Mariam, she told herself. He smiled at her and she smiled back but he couldn't clearly see her smile from the distance between them because of the cloth that hid her lower face so she nodded.

My Stepbrother's Dirty Little Secret

My Stepbrother's Dirty Little Secret

Underneath the black satin, my skin was a map of secrets. I could feel them even without looking—the faint lines on my thighs where I had pressed my own fingernails in too deep during the lonely nights. The bruises and burns on my skin from the electric shocks. The small, round pale spots on the small of my back and the back of my arms where the doctor’s lightning had burned the life out of my skin. I felt a sudden urge to hide, to curl up and pull the blankets over my head so he wouldn't see the wreckage.

I've read the whole chapters within a week or less, I guess. It really piqued my interest and also I have learned a few or a lot of new things. I love this kinds of genres, also had me on roller-coaster of emotions. Kudos to the writer. I'm looking forward Gianna & Raphael's journey 'til the end.

The mafia world you’ve created for us is honestly something truly special, and I can’t thank you enough for sharing it with us. Raph has definitely earned his place among my absolute favorites, but the truth is, every single MMC and FMC you’ve written is unique and great in their own way. Love you!

My One-Night Mistake Is My Billionaire Boss

My One-Night Mistake Is My Billionaire Boss

Her fingers slowly moved toward the scar on her wrist, the faded line she had hidden beneath long sleeves and bracelets for years. The scar had always reminded her of the darkest period of her life: the pain, the confusion, and the night everything she knew about herself seemed to disappear. She traced the faded line with her fingertip, the skin no longer as raised as it had once been. The wound had healed, but the memory remained.

BENEATH HER SCARS

BENEATH HER SCARS

Her black short dress had lace sleeves and she wore a silk scarf which she used to protect herself from people's gazes. Underneath her scarf, her face remained partially hidden behind her large sunglasses but the fresh burns on her face continued to sting and itch. Since that night she has refused to check her reflection in the mirror. The pain she felt was so intense Her hands rested on her lap as she nervously played with the edges of her gown. That was the only thing that kept her busy. The world outside seemed like a movie was being played because of the blurry faces of people mourning, black umbrellas and the murmured prayers. But none of it got to her.

Aira
This is book is literally saying what's happening in high school today. Aria is lovable but her problem is her friends and her pride. i hope she desist from it soon enough. And there's Hope... the more I read, the more the book get suspense filled.

Aria and Hope… hmm, I honestly don’t know whose side to pick just yet, but I’ll definitely keep reading to figure it out… lol. The whole school vibe is really fun though, and I can’t wait to see who Jayden finally ends up with!

UGLY SCARS

UGLY SCARS

JAKE POV. I tore the mask off. “Is this what you really want?!” Ariana froze like a damn statue. The gun slipped from her fingers and hit the ground. Her hands flew to her mouth as her eyes locked on my face—on the scars. “Oh my God…” Her voice cracked. “Jake… what have you done?” Her tears came fast. But mine were already there, hot and bitter. “Is this what you wanna wake up to every morning?” My voice broke. I was burning inside, suffocating in shame. I’d sworn no one would ever see me like this. This wasn’t even how I’d planned to show Liz—not yet. Not now.

Even then, I didn't make a scene. Now, I was beginning to feel disappointed. After eight years, Tristan still didn't know me. Maybe all he ever loved was the version of me when I was young. "You're wrong. I'm just too lazy to delete it." I had let go of him, and I felt there was no need to deal with anything related to him. "If you really want me to delete it, I can." It would be a simple thing to do. I walked toward Leon, and he reached out his hand. I naturally placed mine in his.

The Scar He Scorned

The Scar He Scorned

"Didn't know she would murder my parents? Didn't know she would steal my entire legacy? Or didn't know she would humiliate me in front of the world?" Clark was speechless. "Or," I continued, "did you know all along and just chose to look the other way?" "No! I really didn't know—" "Then what about this?" I turned my back to him and unfastened the top of my tunic. A gruesome scar ran from my left shoulder to my right hip. The eclipse curse had turned it a sickly silver-black, and it still seemed to writhe slowly, eating away at my life force. Clark's breath hitched.
