The Lady And The Billionaire Scoundrel

The Lady And The Billionaire Scoundrel

What was your inspiration to write The Lady and the Scoundrel? I am a writer and full-time editor for many different projects, including a short story magazine. I wanted to write a contemporary romance inspired by my favorite romance novels as an exercise in discipline, to see if I could take on longer writing projects. There are several winks to what once was one of my favorite romance novels sprinkled throughout the story, so you can say it’s very loosely inspired by that one. If any of you figure out which one it is, let me know in the comments! While the historical setting, characters, and plot are completely different, it draws on the famous concept of the strong female lead that has

Ack, this is indeed a hidden gem. The narration is so good and the events that happened were so fast that I did not hesitate to scroll to the next chapter. Three men around Charlotte having different stories are more than interesting. Plus, it's of great mystery of whom she will end up with. Awesome

This is one of the few novels I have read that does not have the main character being slapped in the face for no reason, and everyone ending up going to the hospital for frivolous reasons. I'm enjoying this so far and really like Charlotte and Logan's chances.

Sweet Dreams

Sweet Dreams

FICTION COME TRUE BOOK 5 Intro; Alessia Bellandi is a best seller dark romance author who has built her success writing about men who consume women whole. She writes about obsessive, dominant alpha males who are not just dangerous but attentive. Our reclusive writer lives a quiet life and she’s a socially awkward girl who lives in a quiet apartment that smells faintly of paper, ink, and the vanilla candles she forgets to blow out properly when writing. She writes about book men like a woman full and wild with experience which is quite the opposite of this dear author for she has never actually experienced life quite yet!

A Writer's Love: You and I

A Writer's Love: You and I

Raquel's POV Where do writers get their inspiration? This is the most common question I have been asked for years. I am Raquel Peterson, one of the bestselling authors of romance novels. I am not in a relationship with anyone so people are puzzled where I get my inspirations. I had my first book published when I was twenty and since then I have twelve more books published. I may have found what the readers love and I was able to create a fantasy that they all fall for. My books weren’t merely on paper but were made into movies and TV series.

HEAT BETWEEN THE LINES

HEAT BETWEEN THE LINES

The silence that followed wasn't uncomfortable—it was the silence of recognition, of women who understood exactly what Emma meant. "Thank you for sharing that," Diana said. "What you've just described is the core struggle of writing authentic romance. How do we create believable emotional intimacy when we're afraid of emotional intimacy ourselves?" Sarah, the librarian, leaned forward. "I've been struggling with the same thing. After my divorce, I was so afraid of being hurt again that I couldn't even write my characters falling in love convincingly." "What changed?" Emma asked, genuinely curious.

I forced my brain to assimilate the words until I couldn't take it any longer. I loved reading, in fact I had huge collections of crime and mystery novels because they were my favorite genre, but romance and historical . . . anything? Count me out. There was just something about ‘soulmates’ and romance that just grossed me out and the fact that this book had both just made me hate it. I stretched and yawned as I reached for my bed. I fell on my bed, face down. I didn't bother with my purple and white duvet as I let myself fall into slumber, Kenneth's smiling face the last thing I thought of.

WHEN SHE MET HIM.

WHEN SHE MET HIM.

Audrey didn’t quite understand him, “what do you mean?” Nathan’s lips curved into a mocking smile as he sat up, “I was thinking there was a book for the likes of you but it seems you don’t have it” She heaved a sigh, he was Making mockery of her again. “I have Outlander by Diana Gabaldon, 1991. I also have Red, White & Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston, 2019,Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen, 1813. A Rose’s Thorn

A Rose’s Thorn

After watching Rose convince the dressmaker that she really wanted breeches and wasn’t playing a cruel joke, they stopped for refreshments at an interesting shop near the apothecary. Rose was hoping to hear word from locals on what happened with the crown , shite she wasn’t wrong! Couples littered the tables and the womenfolk gossiped enough to keep everyone updated. “Lizzy’s sister was offered a counts hand but he really only wants her for her dowery”, “did you see Lord Gessler’s top coat?!… he must be without a tailor, teeheehee!”, “ Mr Edwards passed the tests and has reopened his shop after being released”

Her Moon, His Song

Her Moon, His Song

This is going to be nice, I just know it. I spend hours cooking, snacking, reading, and it feels like a dream. My fae romance novel takes me to a land that doesn’t resemble my life and I’m so happy to lose myself in it. I’m reading along happily when I come across a word that strikes me dead. Mates. Great. Just what I was trying to forget about. I put it down and pull out the other book I brought, a historical fiction novel. No mates here, no way. Dinnertime creeps around and I spend a while making a nice risotto with a side salad and garlic bread. It’s so good it borders on s*x.

Divine Academy

It was my first time visiting a library, but I was extremely bored, and in the past, reading had cured my boredom. When I was younger, around the age of fifteen, I was housed with a couple who loved reading. They had a room in their home that was solely dedicated to their books. Three out of the four walls were lined corner-to-corner with built-in bookshelves, and one of the walls was solely for my foster mother. On her shelves was where I found my favorite genre, historical romance. The fourth wall was a reading nook, and I found myself sitting on the nook, my legs tucked underneath me, encaptured by novels written by Johanna Lindsey, Lisa Kleypas, Julia Quinn, and Julia Garwood, just to na

Peyton frowned at her. "I'm saying take as much time checking out your flesh-and-blood guys as you do creating the make-believe ones." Grace gave her a sympathetic smile. "I get the feeling sometimes you think it's so important for a romance author to have the perfect guy that you don't spend enough time looking below the surface." Was the woman right? Was she so desperate to show the world she had a guy better than the ones she created that she leaped before she looked? Well, that was a depressing thought.
