Her cold eyes assessed the situation with calculated precision. "Elias," she said sharply. "Step away from them." There’s a scream coming from the direction of the forest that snaps me out of my thoughts. “Holly!” With a gasp, I abandon my reluctance and run in the direction the scream came from. I throw back the rest of what's left in the glass and put it on the bar and take my bottle back with me. Walking back to the table that I ran from like a little boy, I see Holly being herself.
