I was directed to the shelf that contained books on mystical beings. I picked the first book I could lay my hands on and opened it to the chapter where vampires were discussed. "I guess you love fairy tales," I turned to see a young man, dressed in a black suit. His hands were in his pocket as he was grinning widely at me. I cocked my eyebrow. "Vampires aren't necessarily classified as fairy tales" I corrected him. "You could say so. I mean they're different, strange, and strong. They ain't human"

It is titled as Shadows and Blood, and is 50 years old. "Nah! No third option, Riri," Beatrix gulped. The title of the second book was 'The troublesome flowers'. It may seem like an interesting book about beautiful ladies and romance but really it's not. It was a horror story. Half a page of this book that she glanced at last year made her have sleepless nights. This book served the purpose of building the heart's strength and courage. A wizard or witch from time to time would go on missions. None of them was a stroll in the park. If one was not valiant, he/she wouldn't be able to do so. But she was still a babe. How can he read this sort of book to her? Is he truly her brother?

Like a cookbook for spells and potions.” “I don’t know.” Gemma handed the book up to Becky and set the mirror on the bed carefully. “Mind the mirror, it’s broken in the corner.”

I responded and somehow, I felt embarrassed. "But I love movies," I relate. "Favorite genre?" "ROM COM and adventure. What's your favorite genre of books? I ask her in return. "I love horror, and that genre with vampires, fairies, werewolves you know," she says looking keenly at me. In my peripheral vision I all heads turned towards me, but I kept my head straight in Vy's direction. "Supernatural," I say helping out. "O my God yes," she says smiling "I knew it started with an S, couldn't pinpoint the word though," she says biting her lips, eyes narrowing slightly at the roof.

Just muttered, “Feel free to browse.” I nodded and wandered. The silence was thick. Peaceful. I ran my fingers along the spines—mysteries, war history, sci-fi. None of it felt right. I turned a corner and found myself in a crooked, narrow aisle. A handwritten label above the shelf read: “Folklores, Myths & Things Best Left Alone.” Something about it made me shiver. I reached out and picked a worn, black-spined book: “The Blood and Bond of the Wild.”

The fleeting shadow of the woman in the corner, the insistent, brutal clang that resonated in my skull whenever iron came into view, the cold, dull weight of the stolen spoons hidden beneath my mattress – they were pieces of a nightmare bleeding into my waking hours.
