Celess tried to keep her fear in check, but she couldn't help but feel like a mouse surrounded by cats. As the night wore on, Steve showed Celess more and more of the vampire world. She saw their powers in action, watched them hunt and feed, and even witnessed a few fights between rival clans.But as the night drew to a close, Celess began to feel a sense of foreboding. She wasn't sure if she could handle this life, with all its dangers and secrets. And she knew that if she stayed with Steve, she would have to leave her old life behind forever.

A profound silence reigned in the downstairs room where Miranda stayed, broken only by the rhythmic cadence of her breathing as she sat on the wide bed, propped up against soft pillows, a famous horror novel open in her hands. The words danced before her eyes under the warm glow of the golden bedside lamp, drawing her deeper and deeper into their dark worlds, until it seemed as if she were slipping into her haunted depths.

I hope I do not end up screaming so loudly that my baby decides to make an early entrance into the world. I have always preferred romance novels over any other genre. There is something comforting about them, even if they do not always reflect reality. Horror, on the other hand, fills me with dread. It gives me a wild imagination, and I often end up with nightmares after reading or watching anything scary. I remember the times in school when my roommates would roll their eyes at me during horror movies because I could not stop screaming. Eventually, they would kick me out of the room, and I would miss the rest of the movie. The memory makes me giggle, though it is tinged with a hint of nosta

“Horror games are a survival hell. It’s not your fault. But from now on, we need to focus on finding clues as fast as possible.” The guy with glasses nodded and agreed. “The banquet lasts two hours. During that time, all NPCs stay in the banquet hall. We have to use that window to search for the exit. Once the banquet ends, they’ll start wandering around randomly. If they catch us, we die. So after that, we have to stay hidden.”

Maybe if I phrased my questions carefully, Viktor might slip up and reveal a clue. Speaking of mysteries, I glanced at the TV only to recoil instantly. The men had chosen the movie, of course a full-blown horror flick with massacres, blood, guts, and a helpless heroine who spent most of her time screaming and wandering around in the storm. I shook my head. Seriously, who acts that clueless? Another bloodcurdling scream pierced the speakers, and I could practically see the mutilated body parts on the screen without even looking. I asked by my gestures. "Eating meatballs at Takim's," replied Julia by her gestures. In the living room, I saw a pile and rows of old books. Books were not like academic books. Even if it was called a novel, it might be from the action-conspiracy-horror-thriller-mystery genre. Well, the title alone already made people goosebumps.

I apologize that this book is really short with less than 30k words in all. I plan to edit it at some point and make it better. I figured that a really long Horror book might be less interesting and would just seem drawn out. I've not read a lot of them but I watch horror movies so I wrote this like I would picture an Horror movie. I appreciate all those who stuck with me and read Reincarnation regardless. Thank you all.
