Year 2022, writer's POV. I had been raising this dog for the last two years but had never heard it bark so fiercely. Thinking that a thief had broken into the house, I stormed out to check. However, all I saw was the dog barking wildly at the locked door of the east room when I pushed open the door. I slept in the west room. The east room was big, and I planned to use it as the place for my creations. If the dog barked at the door of the east room, then the thief had to be inside.

We’ve read so many forbidden stories… we’ve come a long way with No Saints! The tension, the sins, the things that shouldn’t happen, but always do. But this chapter is different. If you're too impatient and want to understand what happened during that time, jump ahead to Chapters 7 and 8—they fill in the blanks. Susan I didn’t go home. I couldn’t. Instead, I found myself in a familiar spot...Meera’s apartment. The moment she opened the door, her sharp eyes scanned my face, instantly sensing something was wrong. Without a word, she stepped aside, letting me in. “Okay, something's definitely wrong.” she said, crossing her arms as I collapsed onto her couch, exhaling heavily. I reached into my purse and pulled out the check, placing it on the coffee table between us. Meera’s eyes widened as she picked it up, her mouth parting in shock.

The strange chantings grew louder, but amidst the chaos, a sudden, desperate will to live and escape ignited within her. With every ounce of strength she had left, Joan gathered her resolve. Something deep within her, something primal and powerful, stirred to life. She opened her mouth and let out a loud, guttural scream, the sound echoing through the darkness. At the same time, she straightened all her ten fingers, as if channeling the raw energy coursing through her body into the very tips of her hands.

So baring with me and sticking it out, means more to me than you could possibly imagine. Second, I want to say this is not the end. This is an intermission. A break or hiatus if you want to call it. With updates being so scarce, I’m sure you’re thinking that I should have done this earlier. And maybe I should have. I wanted to push and get to a point though where I felt okay and not like I was going to regret stepping away for a moment. So far, this story has 125 chapters. That is my second longest (behind Shift) and we currently have 252,800 words. That is nuts! That’s more than Twilight and New Moon combined! Hahaha!
