If you remember well, then this was how Lexa felt throughout the ride. She had to close her eyes and get herself together but she found herself feeling the same way again. Lexa hated it. She believed that it was only when she had bad thoughts that bad things would happen to her. She tried to give herself good reasons why she was worrying and kept telling herself that she was worrying for nothing. That her mother was fine. Yet, she couldn't take the feeling away. I'm sure the leather jacket over the tank with the tattoos on his neck and some of the ones on his chest peeping through added to the visage of a badass. People just automatically got out of the way and pretty soon we were in the cool night air. His grip on my hand was tight and sure and gave me strength. I don't know what was coming next but I knew this time I was going to fight. "Let's go baby we'll take my bike and come back for your car later." He pulled me over to this monstrosity of black and chrome. I'm not an expert but I do believe it's what people in the know might call a

Lex snaps quickly. “Lex, this is important. We are trying to figure out who I am before we can shift. We have to make sure it's safe for both of us. You want to shift, don't you?” “Ugh. Fine. I'm four thousand six hundred and eighty-two years old, I think. I've kind of lost count because we kept track of time differently back in the old days.” “Lex, be serious.” “Why the Hell would I joke about that?” “She says she is over four thousand years old.”

We heard a female voice from the front door, and we all turned to look. “Mamma! Merry Christmas!” Lexi squealed as she jumped up, and ran to her parents, causing us all to laugh some more. “Joe, I thought you had teenagers, and adults at this point. Did I miss something?” Lexi’s dad asked as he hugged Lexi. “No. All of our pups are 15 or older, but Chassy girl got those as a joke from Colby, and as you can see, they couldn’t resist.” Joe explained.

Lexi fights back, "Oh okay then, your height" I started, "What's wrong with my height?" Lexa dropped her eyes to the ground and shook her head, " They are dead."

He becomes our unofficial guide, sharing tidbits about the city’s rich history and culture, and the sights outside the window fuel our excitement. Lexi, leaning into my ear, whispers that the guy is hot, asking how old I think he is. I agree he is hot, but I’m not good at guessing people’s ages. I tell her that and just then, Ollie calls his name and asks him. He is twenty-five and Ollie nods, thanking him for telling us before uttering the words that turn Lexi into a blushing mess.

" 'Xavier Bass' he's a university's 'Big Bad' and if you want to study without getting yourself in trouble than you better stay away from him" She warned me with seriousness but for some odd reason, I felt myself getting curious about this Xavier, " big bad? Her faded blue eyes narrowed dangerously as she looked him over, taking in his scent and measuring his very essence. “What have you done to her?” Birdie insisted. Gretta stood, still wrapped only in a blanket, in the background, being meek and quiet like a good little beta should. "Is she old?" "No, middle aged." "How old is she?" Zheme's eyes narrowed as he laid down on his side. "I think you're becoming way too inquisitive." Lexie shrugged. "So...? I just want to know." "Well in that case, she's about 38. What else do you want to know now?"
