We had just gotten into the thick of it.
“For the past six days that you’ve been unconscious, we’ve been getting attacked by those arrows with herbs on them. People have been dying left and right, Zara. So far, we’ve lost twelve people.”
“What?” The chill I felt down my spine before returned. “Twelve people?”
“That’s not the worst part,” he said, and I felt my heart sinking into my stomach. “We managed to catch one of them, but he wasn’t human.”
“What was he?” I asked, not sure I would like the answer.
