From all the traveling, l realized that l must have been left unfed for 3+ days. The little food shops were closed. My stomach was growling like a wild animal. Though shaking I kept my head held high. As minutes went, l found the hunger unbearable. Without thinking l walked to the trash can, picked up the cold and the slightly stale leftover of a hamburger then took a big bite. I was so hungry.
