He took a deep breath, his dark eyes locking onto hers. “I love you,” he said. The words hung in the air, heavy and absolute. “I love you so much it terrifies me,” he continued. “I look at you, and I see the only real thing in my life.” Aria blinked. She hadn't expected that. “I… I love you too, Damian.” Damian smiled, but it was a sad, wistful smile. “Let’s get married,” he said. Aria froze. She laughed nervously, a short, breathless sound. “Damian, you’re tired. We are married. We have the certificate. We have the rings.”

They had no feelings for each other, but they gave birth to me and played the role of a loving couple and kind parents to appease their families. However, acting was still acting at the end of the day. With my mother—his acting partner—gone, he no longer needed to act. I was already born, anyway. They only pretended to be in love for me. I did not understand it before and thought he had abandoned me. When I fell in love with Shawn, I learned that a person could risk their life for love. I could also understand how he felt when he married his first love. I understood, but I refused to accept it.

I was nineteen, he was twenty. It wasn't a problem as both of us are coming from prestigious families. Our wedding anniversary was two months ago making it three years and two months being married to my first love. Perfect life right? So why am I supposed to think he does not love me?

"The day you chose to pick that city girl over me we ended Damon!!" "But you love me " he said and stood up , Dwayne slowly moved aside as he watched with the most confused expression ever . Damon slowly raised his hands to my hair. "But you love me " he repeated and I slapped his hands away from my hair immediately. "Loved!, There's a difference " "I'm sure you know what they say , first love never really do go away" he said . "I'm married to Dwayne now and he's the one I love!" I said.

She whisper quietly looking down at her lap. I frown . I put the brown box aside and sit beside her on the bed holding her hand. " hey....listen you don't need to ever feel guilty or embarrasse about money or asking me something. Do you get it." I said softly looking at her eyes. " Because my love , the money , the empire that I built , its all because of you. Because I want to spoil you so much. I don't fucking care if you don't remember me and my love , all I want is you by my side. You never have to be embarrass about not able to reciprocate my feelings, I am fine with it but don't ever force yourself."

She gave him her cold stare. “You leave me no choice.” She replied as she walked towards the door, leaving him for real. Good bye, Ibrahim. People often say that first love is unforgettable. I met this man when I was very young, and I don't even understand what love is. I just happened to know that! I liked him, and I wished to see him again one day. God granted my wish, and I met him. Not because I wanted to teach him a lesson but because I wanted him to feel every shabby, hollow second of the life he’d tried to hand her. My thoughts drifted back to Luna. My wife. My first love.
