"I said I didn't know! When your dad called my father, he said it wasn't serious. He just said Ian swallowed some water and ran off somewhere. Told us not to worry…" "My brother was seven years old. He got swept away by an undercurrent. And you're telling me he just swallowed some water?" Travis fell silent. He looked into my eyes, his lips moving slightly before finally forcing out a sentence. "So what do you want from me?" "Nothing," I said. "I just wanted to see whether that gold medal around your neck feels heavy."

But before we could, I used all my remaining strength and pushed him back to safety. The force I’ve put on him quickened my fall. I could no longer reach the top. My brother’s broken expression and his hand reaching out couldn’t save me in time. “BROTHER!” I heard his rueful scream grow weaker and weaker. Ahh, the cliff is higher than expected.
