It's made by soaking roses in agarwood and extracting the essence, then adding a few herbs for calming and sleep-inducing effects." Of course, this incense wasn't made by Isobel. She had stolen it from Aurora’s old studio. Aurora had always been fascinated by these unusual things since she was a child. She had converted a storage room in the Diaz household into a workshop.

I realized the thick air was a result of incense burning somewhere. The familiar scent of burning incense lingered in the air, a blend of sage and sandalwood. It was the kind that made people drowsy. The incense smoke lazily spiraled up from the small burner placed in the corner of the room, casting a hazy glow over the space.

He was confused. "Are you sure?" he asked. I nodded. "The poison I told you about, apart from ingesting it, it can be burned and whoever smells it can be poisoned. If his majesty keeps inhaling it, the poison might become stronger and will resist the antidote that I've been giving the Emperor. I'm very positive that it's the incense but if you don't believe me, then we can test it. I just need one incense stick, the one that the Empress is lighting for the Emperor." I told him. He was still a bit confused but he gave in.
