Invincible Class Novels & Stories

Location: Open Ocean — Beneath the Storm The violent waves surged, crashing hard against the half-sunken wreckage of Rook’s VTOL, tossing debris like toys in a storm. And from the dark abyss beneath us... She rose. A colossal war fortress, armored in steel and forged from vengeance, emerged slowly from the storm-tossed sea. Natalia Cross’s creation. Its towering hull gleamed, deadlier and stronger than anything we’d ever faced. Damien’s dark eyes burned, sharp and unflinching, his fist tightening around his sidearm.

Audella stated, earning a frown from the others. "Mace is the first recruit of my beloved team, as you see, I chose to make him lead so that he can carry the responsibilities. My doggy cousin." she said as she laughed. The others silently grinned at this while Mace gave her dagger looks. "You spoiled rat." She ignored his reply. "Along with him is Fumiya, his trouble maker best friend. Next to them is Celeste and Shaun," she stopped a bit and looked at the two of them "I only recruited Celeste since she's good in fighting, but out of nowhere Shaun appeared and begged me to let him in," Shaun frown when she used the word 'begged' "Then your sister, Eleanor."

At the center of the dry docks stood the pride of the new fleet: the Eclipse Leviathan. She was a colossal warship, three hundred feet long, clad in polished black steel and solar-gilded iron armour. Her towering masts were reinforced ironwood, able to hold sails woven from solar silk, resistant to fire. Her bow was a massive figurehead carved in the shape of a leaping obsidian wolf whose jaws cradled a blazing golden sunburst. In the bowels of the ship was a charmed plasma engine, connected to a tank of purified Crucible fire, capable of projecting an impenetrable solar-shadow shield around the whole ship.

It greeted them with the blinding, artificial sun of a Sovereignty Searchlight. The Ambush at Sea The Vance-Thorne Legacy wasn't drifting. It was being held in the tractor-grip of a Shattered Crown Dreadnought—a behemoth of rusted iron and stolen tech that loomed over their tiny hydrofoil like a tombstone. Standing on the deck of the dreadnought, silhouetted against the spotlights, was Xavier Vance. He wasn't wearing his silk suit anymore. He was encased in a lightweight tactical rig, his face illuminated by the flickering data-feed on his wrist.

On the other hand, Zayne used the Invincible Umbrella to support the stone door to prevent the stone door from closing suddenly like the previous one. The Invincible Umbrellas were treasures with various functions that were used by the gangs of tomb raiders for tomb raiding. Back then, the Invincible Umbrellas were made of cold steel. However, they had long undergone upgrades when they were developed till the present one. The material of the Invincible Umbrellas in Zayne and Quincy’s hands came from some kind of meteorite beyond the world, and its hardness exceeded all known substances on Earth. Moreover, it was light and convenient to handle. A unique substance was needed to soften the mate

Videl.. The crossing felt like driving into the mouth of a storm that refused to break. The amphibious Breakers—low-profile, heavy-armored vessels designed for stealth—cut through the black water of the channel with a predatory hum. Inside the lead vehicle, the air was pressurized and silent, save for the rhythmic clicking of Oliver’s keyboard. For thirteen years, this stretch of ocean had been a graveyard. The energy field used to scramble navigation systems and shut down engines, leaving anyone who tried to cross to drown in the dark.

The vessel, painted entirely in vantablack to evade satellite detection, cut through the mountainous ocean waves like a mechanical leviathan. The deck was swarming with dozens of identical Vanguard mercenaries, all armed and waiting in the torrential downpour. Julian was unceremoniously hauled out of the pod by two guards, screaming in agony as his shattered knee dragged across the non-slip deck plating. Dante and Elara stood back-to-back in the pouring rain, surrounded by an army of elite killers, trapped on a ghost ship in the middle of a raging ocean storm, realizing they had simply traded an underwater tomb for a floating fortress.

Zayn remained silent. The Queen continued to speak, “The invincibilis state is already a breakthrough to nature’s limits upon humanity. There are billions of people in this world but only a few invincibilis fighters. On the other hand, a Level-3 invincibilis fighter is a godlike superhuman. Though they won’t be able to break the laws of physics or fly, the fighter is all-powerful and capable of many other feats. It may be the end of the path, but it is enough.”

A massive, matte-black armored vehicle—The Titan—smashed through the wreckage, its six wheels crushing the mercenaries’ barricades as if they were made of glass. The vehicle’s side hatches hissed open, and the members of the Vance Resurgence deployed with a clinical, lethal efficiency. Kaelen "Wraith" Vance and Seraphina Dubois led the charge, their "Obsidian" tech neutralizing the mercenaries’ high-tech gear before they could even fire. Baron Vance stepped out of the vehicle, his presence a silent, imposing force in the chaos. He looked at Kora and her team, a faint, respectful nod touching his lips.

Today, that barrier parted. Hovering at the edge of the storm wall was the imperial flagship Vance Aegis, its gargantuan, void-shielded hull glinting in the harsh sunlight of the mesosphere. Trailing behind the main flagship were six streamlined, dark-steel diplomatic frigates—the Eclipse Envoys—their hulls coated in meteor-steel plating and trimmed with the silver frost-coatings of the Northern Keepers.
