Vanessa trembled as she unrolled the paper, her face losing all color.
She no longer cared about anything else. Crawling from the bed, she knelt before him, crying and pleading for mercy.
She kept defending herself, saying she had only done it because she loved him so much.
She never expected that once Christina found out, she would leave.
Lucien looked down at her with a cold, detached gaze.
