“So, are you sending the soldier to the store?” She smiled at Dennis. He did look like one, ready for action at the drop of a hat. The nickname might just stick. I would have to text Edwin about it, plus it would be entertaining to tease the usually calm man. In all our years of working together, I had never seen Dennis lose his temper.
Clement looked at Dennis and nodded.
“I’m on it,” Dennis said. He stood up, fishing his keys from his pocket and striding out of the kitchen.
