“Happy birthday, Hal!” Jordan threw herself onto her brother, wrapping her arms around his neck as if she was still a baby. Halton laughed. He almost forgot. It’s August 18th. The day his wrecked life started. "It’s dada’s birthday?” Angela asked, tilting her head cutely. Jordan scooped her up in her arms and placed a kiss on her squishy cheek. “Yup! And we gonna celebrate it with some snacks. Right, bro?”

I didn't mean anything to anyone again. I didn't belong here, I sobbed as his face filtered into my mind, Alpha Neon. I still thought about the way blue eyes pierced through my soul although he had rejected me. I really wanted him and I was going to find him! Suddenly realization hit me today was Jace's birthday! Maybe I should get him a gift and he would realize that I loved him.

Other memories are starting to stir as I think back to last night and all the things that he did to me, but then I remember one very important fact, today is Jace’s nineteenth birthday! With a devious smile on my face, I begin to untangle myself from his limbs, slowly and carefully, as to not wake him up just yet. It takes a moment to do so, but when I do, I slither down the bed and under the covers. I know I don’t have much time before he will wake up after I start, but there isn’t much that I can do about that. I’ll just have to make the best of what I can before he takes over the situation.

He nodded and chuckled, saying, “The bastard’s birthday is tomorrow.” Jace’s birthday party has always been the loudest in the state for as long as I can remember, and every year, it gets even louder. I didn’t know how the last two celebrations were because I was at the university and I didn’t care to check up, and since I’ve been back, I haven’t asked. It seemed as though he would throw a big party—perhaps not as loud as before, but something that would be the talk of the town for weeks.

March 29th, 2011: Tuesday Spring ~~~~~~~~~~ There was still a chill in the air as Tony walked out of the bedroom, fully dressed. When Jaxsen awoke he was aware of two things: it was much brighter in his room than it should be and the date. November twenty-first. Today he was nine years old. He had mixed feelings about today. After he woke he wondered why Sebastian hadn’t made him get up for school. Nizhoni, who moved in almost two weeks ago, hadn’t roused him, either. He frowned, pondering. His two previous birthdays were nothing to be remembered. He squeezed his eyes shut against the memories that threatened to overwhelm.

Jace just flashes her a little smile which barely reaches his eyes. “Happy birthday Juliana," he said and gave her the gift he got for her. Juliana was overjoyed, not only did Jace honor her invitation, he also got her a gift. Though she knows that she has a cool relationship with Jace… he's a man that hardly honors an invitation, especially birthday stuff, he finds it tiresome and a waste of time. He only honors an important invitation that sticks to either his music or his business careers. This is her first birthday invitation she sent to him —out of her numerous birthday invitations she has sent to him— and he honored it so she's definitely happy.
