Stars Pov- The present. Tomorrow is my 15th Birthday, I wanted to be excited. But I never had any good memories about my birthday. The Alphas son Cain shared the same birthday as me. We were born the same cold winter night. My birthday is December 10th 2008 to be exact. Cain always had lavish parties gathered by loved ones. Receiving gifts and praise from the whole pack. Frowning, I looked down thinking of what it would have been like with my own family if they were still alive.

Now he just had to figure out how to play this out, because when morning came, he was not letting her go. *********** Jace came awake with none of the sharpness he usually possessed. He was a habitual early riser. He didn’t even own an alarm clock. He woke every morning at the same time no matter whether it was a workday or not. This morning, however, he roused reluctantly, his body loose and sated, contentment slogging through his veins. He reached automatically for Bethany, wanting the feel of her skin beneath his fingers.

"It's fine if you don't go home this time, it's Dad's birthday the day after tomorrow, you must go home for me, if not, Avery would not be able to rest here." Jace's tone carried a hint of warning. Jace's phone vibrated, it should be a message, no one knew who sent it, but, he lowered his head and looked at the screen, then said to Blake, "I should go, you take good care of Avery. I gasped as he stopped a step away from me. He was towering over me, blocking my sight of the dark orange moon. I looked at him. His eyes darker than the night were all over me, almost making me tremble. "Jace Katherine Sullivan, is it?" My lips parted. "How did you know me?" His eyes went down on my blouse, smirking. "Your I.D. told me." I looked down on my blouse, too. I forgot I was still wearing my school ID. "Happy twentieth birthday."

I wrapped my arms around myself, staring at the chair, at the banner, at the ocean stretching endlessly beyond it and then finally at Jace who now walked forward to me. “You did all this?” I asked quietly. “Yes.” I swallowed and moved closer, my chest tightening for reasons I didn’t fully understand. I sat when he pulled out the chair for me. For a moment, neither of us spoke. Then he glanced at his watch. It buzzed softly. Jace looked back at me. “Happy birthday, Kamara.” I blinked. “It’s midnight,” he continued. “Which makes today your birthday.” My breath caught. “And your birthday has never been one to go uncelebrated.”

I called out, shocked to see him standing with a birthday cake in front of my door. "Happy birthday to you. Happy birthday to you. Happy birthday, dear Rachael. Happy birthday to you." He sang with a smile on his face "What are you talking about? Today is not my birthday." I voiced out shocked. "Today is your birthday, Racheal. Today is 6th of November." He stared at me confused. "What?" Jake took out his phone and showed me the date on the phone screen. He was right. Today is indeed sixth of November. Today is my birthday.

I grab it and see a message. “I had the most wonderful time with you today. I’m taking you on a date tomorrow night. Wear something warm. I’ll pick you up at 10 am. Sleep tight. X Jace” the text reads. I clutch my phone to my chest and smile so big. I’ve never felt this way before. Not even when I was with Landon did I ever feel this much joy. I can’t wait for what’s to come.
