"You awake." He didn't glance at her when he said that. He just stared at the lovely moonlight, and Jackylyn felt like she was the one who was aching for him for reasons she didn't understand. She waited a few moments before attempting to break the silence. "I recalled my mother's words, 'The sun sees your beauty. The moon sees your soul,' and she was right. The moon is the only one who can see us and notice our deepest pain…" She smiled bitterly as she remembered her late Mother, who was the only one who valued her as her sun went down.

“So, what are waiting for? Why haven’t we gone to get Arthur yet?” Jack looks up at the sky as though measuring something, squinting one eye and then the other. “It’ll be dark soon in a full moon. Roman called in some special forces to . . .” Jack trails off, searching for the right word. “Minimize any damage.” He settles on with a tight smile. I nod in understanding. We might need some extra muscle considering we don’t know how the powers of the moon will affect Arthurs rabid state. The sound of feet approaching grabs everyone’s attention. The footsteps are slow and controlled, yielding suspension with every step. Could it be Arthur? Did he hear us and decide to turn himself in.

Under the night sky, Jack walked very quickly. He felt something surging in his body, as if his blood was boiling, and he wanted to quickly vent it out. He opened the system and lightly tapped on it, using two system tracking cards. “Soon, a good show is about to begin.” Jack smiled sinisterly. He raised his head and looked at the bright moon above his head. It was slightly emitting a red light, as if it was dyed with a layer of blood.

She admitted. “Wait, how could her mom and grandmother help?” Jen asked. “Because her mother is the Moon Goddess, and her grandmother is my mother.” A female voice said making them all jump. “Who the fuck are you?!” Dakota asked as they all took a fighting stance around the door to where the little ones were sleeping. “And how the fuck did you get in here?” Shadow growled.

The football helmet that Liam was supposed to wear later had bats on the side instead of his usual tiger mascot. Normally, the games wouldn’t start until much later in the evening, which would let Liam sleep in later than normal. However, today there were festivities. There was the parade, and the ice cream, and more and more and just ugh. Liam didn’t want anything to do with it. However, as the star quarterback, he had to be the star of the show. For some reason his father was very much into the festivities as well, and Liam knew he would be watching to make sure that his son was enjoying himself.

As I stood there, frozen in fear, the figure began to move towards me. And then, everything went black.
