The creature in front of me had Jace and Rhea clutched in its hands, jerking them like dolls, its deformed arms moving too damn quickly. Thunderclapped, rain pounded the roofs, swallowing my screams. The monster stopped and turned to face me, its deathly pale, corpse-colored flesh radiating sickly every flash of lightning. "Why the devil would I let 'em go? You don't need these rug rats!" It spoke in a sneering snarl, baiting me. "I need 'em, you monster!" I yelled, heaving through muck, legs burning. "Hold on, Jace! I'm going to get you!"

More like three voices in one. Hera chuckles behind us. "There he is. The monster hidden under his fake civility." I can't breathe. I've never seen him look so terrifying. Hera sashays to her red car, and I panic. "Wait, what are you doing?! Take him with you!" I say, my voice shaky. "You should tame your monster first. He looks like he's about to riot," she responds, and I glance at Tyler's unmoving form. A small pool of blood is forming under him.

I cried. Wait! Was I talking to him or his statue? Did he hear me or I was wasting my time? "I think my mom is already done with the monster by now."I thought before summoning her in my room. "Artie. Anu? H.How did this happen to him? Who did this?"mother breathed the moment she appeared in the room. "His mom did this to him. I wonder how a mother would think of hurting her own child."I said sounding surprised.

It became more intense the closer I worked to the windows, but strangely, I saw no one each time I peeked. What is going on? Could it be that the monster has discovered a human wolf lives here? Is this how I am going to die? Now more than ever, I wish Mateo could come over, but I don’t think so. His mother should probably be at home. My teeth began jittering, and my entire body quivered in fear. I don’t want to be killed by the monster just like he killed my son. I promised my son to take revenge on this monster and all of his kind. I will show no mercy once the moon goddess grants me that power. I don’t know how it will all happen, but I am very sure I will take my revenge on the monster.

And she kept seeing the bloody dressing on Jackson’s side that morning, the one he had told her was just ‘a little accident’. The scarier monster... The one with the red eyes... But here, on the peak, the sky was a swirling vortex of black and gold. And there, at the center of the bone circle, stood the Monster. It was ten feet tall, a nightmare of shifting geometry. It had the shadow of a wolf, but its limbs were made of the same silver liquid as Julian’s eyes. It didn't have a face, just a vertical slit of violet light that bled static into the air. "Kael?" I stepped forward, the dagger held low.

Their father stood dramatically from his chair. "Oh dear." Both girls looked at him instantly. He stared out of the window. "Oh no." Daisy sat upright. "What?" "Oh no no no no..." Jessica felt excitement bubbling immediately. "What?!" He turned slowly. "I think..." He lowered his voice. "...I think the storm monsters are back." Jessica's eyes widened. Daisy looked horrified. "The what?!" "The storm monsters," he whispered. "Hair made of clouds. Eyes made of lightning." Jessica stared. "No way."

I looked up and my stomach dropped. Aziel Nightbane. The monster himself. His golden eyes burned down at me with pure hate. Up close he smelled like blood and smoke and something darker that made my wolf stir. “Who are you running from boy?” he growled. His voice was low and rough like gravel under boots. His grip tightened on my arm hard enough to bruise. I gasped for air and forced words out even though my throat felt tight. “Please. I am nothing. Just a slave omega. Let me go and I will disappear. You will never see me again I swear it.”
