"Don Federico," James breathes out quietly. His eyes suddenly grow wide and wild as he glances at the don, then his father, and finally at me. I take a page out of Alessia's book and smile. James is finally realizing just who the man I'm working for—the man he claims "took me away"—is. If I wasn't basically a glorified servant at an important party, I'd say something like, "Yes, this is the legendary mafia boss, the King of the Underground World, Don Federico."

“And maybe her throwing herself at him would take it off you. However, this guy sounds like bad news. And I don’t like the thought of him harassing you while you’re at work. Do you want me to talk to your boss? Or I can show up myself and make sure he knows not to mess with you.” The fierceness in his voice, the unwavering protective streak, tugged at something deep inside Novalee. Yet he was waiting for her permission. Letting her handle it yet ready to step in. A soft, shaky smile crept across her lips. James was no athletic, sculpted, streetfighter like Dante looked to be. His tone coming off flat on purpose. He stepped further into the room, pullin out one of the chairs and helping himself as both Arthur and Matt watched him. “ I see you and i see Drogo and i can not help but wonder whose side you are really on.” Matt stepped closer to him. “Hey kid, watch your mouth.” Ronan’s face tightened at being called kid and composed himself immediately. “I am Ronan, a friend of Silver’s. I am here to help.” Arthur looked at him with irritation the moment he heard him mention silver. His wolf snarled inwardly. He moved closer to him, his eyes blazing. “ If you’re here to help, then get to talking, or get the hell out of here.”

"Dad, you made a pinky promise—you'd never split me and Elaine up. If Elaine can't come with me to the big ceremony, then count me out." James's bold stance said it all—Malcolm was totally wrapped around his finger. Malcolm paused, then turned to me with a look that was all apologies. "James is still new here and without any friends. I'm worried he'll get spooked. Let's just say yes to Elaine tagging along, okay?" He seemed worried I would get the wrong idea, so he quickly said, "However, just so we're clear, you're my Luna, the star of the ceremony, and that's set in stone."

His other friends laughed. "Who would have thought David Carlson would join us on this desk due to woman problems?" "Right? We only come here to escape from our wives, welcome to the club David." "You haven't even seen me in a year and you can't welcome your best friend with a hug?" James teased, "you didn't return any of my calls since I came back to the country I didn't think this would be the first place I'd see you." James was a model who was as tall as David, he was also a famous actor and was well known for his works.

What Adrian was about to say went beyond James' expectations. "James, we've been together for quite a few years now. Every time I observe you closely, I sense that something is missing. Is there something you're hiding from me?" "Sir, I'm not hiding anything from you," James assured him, his face displaying a hint of anxiety as he stepped back to him. Adrian lifted his eyes and noticed the relief on James' face. "You're not getting any younger, and I haven't seen you with any ladies. Have you perhaps been secretly dating someone or talking to someone on the phone?" He paused, allowing the question to sink in. James' expression revealed immense relief.

I took a deep breath, and turned slowly to face the stranger. He had heavy lacy glasses, and was slightly older. Most people would call him a beautiful man, and there was one thing I noted about hem, I had not seen him around Spadeville. The scent that oozed of him was that of a wolf. Was he a rogue? “Who are you?” “James,” he said simply. I glared at him. “That doesn’t give out much info. I would like to know what you’re doing here. Do you randomly go into people’s homes?” I snapped.

Who is this guy? Why haven’t I screamed yet? Should I call the police? No, maybe? How did he find me? Stella continued to look at the man in front of her while her mind what racing. He cleared his throat and said “My name is James, James Bond.” Lunafuckingtic.

“Welcome to the Silvermist Company! I'm Brite and we have Lejend, Yash, Rocket, Urkane, Terni, Caige, Trace, Dyllen, and of course you know, Boss." The omega looked more than a little overwhelmed as the talkative alpha gestured to each of the men around the table. “Your names or alias?" “Names," Brite answered the question. It’s normal for most mercenary bands to use alias instead of their real names. But that’s mostly for those who had a family left in a town or city that might be in danger. In their case, all of them had nothing of the sort. “But we call Boss that because we can't exactly call him by his name on the road or people will know who he is."

My mate sauntered in, looking so handsome and tempting, his blue eyes drawing me in. But he wasn’t smiling. He was frowning at me. He dragged a chair to sit very close to me, opposite me, and started his questioning at once. “What’s your name and why did you come here? I know you just felt the bond because we all saw how it affected you... but why did you come here?” He asked me, his voice not so cold this time. “I came to make a delivery... that’s... that is what I do, my job... I showed you my identity card and you can call my boss now to confirm... Please don’t kill me!” I added, rubbing my trembling hands to plead with him.
