(Lily POV) (A few months later) Something is up, but I do not know what that “something” is. What I do know is that everyone has been acting really strangely today. It started when James brought me breakfast in bed… that he had taken the time to cook himself. Then, after we had both eaten, he insisted that I take a long bath and relax for a while. Normally that his not-so-subtle way of getting me naked, but to my disappointment …instead of getting in the bathtub with me… he then ran off to take care of some “pack business.”

"Do you know how great that is? Girl, our lives will change forever. Our parents won't die. I'll live a good life." She squeezed my arm, shaking her head to rebuke my words. "Where are your senses? J-James is not a human. Everyone knows his reputation. If he hasn't changed his behavior at the age of thirty, what in the world would change him? W-Why would you do this to yourself?" I chuckled again. Literally, I was acting like a lunatic. "What makes you think he won't change? He's a human, okay? People change, people grow, people—"

* I asked myself as I my vision came in contact with a sorry face. "James?" I called, trying to confirm my suspicions. "The one and only." He grinned "When did you turn into a human potato?" I questioned with a frown. "A potato whom you once cuddled and who still loves you," He smirked and pulled me in for a kiss. "Get off me you a disgusting human-sized potato," I screamed and pushed him away, making a beeline for my class while I muttered profanities under my breath. Dear ladies and gentlemen, if you haven't put two and two together yet then let me do it for you.

I look over at Jyrki, he and Phoenix both look up over the edge of the logs and nod in unison. “He was mean to Mumma Raben and his daughter kicked me,” Phoenix answers, moving closer to me, she holds onto the hem of my shirt. “Elder James, he tried to undermine Raven every chance he got,” Jyrki adds, I nod remembering the name the moment it leaves his lips. ‘That’s our way in,’ I think to myself, I can use my glamour and compulsion abilities to look and smell like James and walk right in. I look around, I only have to get him out of the way so there aren’t two of him running around.

After they are done with the class. Which becomes so boring to her thinking about her mother's illness always makes her crazy. They left the classroom and headed to the campus Pious. “I have no doubt. Unless you’re planning to stop the marriage.” She stepped closer, voice syrupy and sharp. “Whatever you’re planning, James… I’d suggest you stop. I’m going to be the Luna soon. Might want to get on my good side.” She turned on her heel and walked off. James muttered under his breath. “Witch.” And then he walked away. TBC

The thought was so horrifying that I physically recoiled.
