BOUND BY OMERTÀ

As the only child of the Kumicho, the head of the Yakuza, she was set to inherit the crime syndicate-something her people resented. But now, she goes by the name Shizugai. A moniker earned through sheer ruthlessness. The silent killer. She leaves only corpses in her wake after dealing with her victims. My men stood behind me, armed to the teeth, their hands resting on their holsters, eyes scanning for the first signs of trouble. The gated loomed before us, a towering emblem of power, emblazoned with the insignia of a wyrm devouring a dragon-her mark.

Alpha's Dirty Secrets

Alpha's Dirty Secrets

Since it was completely unnecessary, I caught her. "What are you doing here?" I continued. Miyako started off with a name in Japanese adding, "told me you wanted to meet in private." "Okay, I missed the name," I worried. "Ummm...it translates over to something like 'Frosty, the Snow-white Gremlin'," Miyako stated. "She said you wanted to see me. I am neither a ninja in your closet - it wasn't your closet, nor am I a 'closet ninja' as no ninja is classified as a ninja. That defeats the purpose of being invisible warriors."

Alpha's Regret: The Forsaken Luna

Hadn't wanted to get too attached before he was safely born. But looking at him now, one name rose to my lips. "Soren," I whispered. "It means stern or severe. Because he's going to have to be strong in this world." Nyx smiled. "Soren Ashwood. A good name. A strong name." "No." I looked up at her. "Not Ashwood. That's my father's name, and he's dead. This baby is—" I paused, thinking. "Soren Moonshadow. Born in darkness, under the moon. A shadow that walks between worlds."

The tengu nodded and waited. Herne leaned against a tree and drank from the hip flask, "You two hearing the bells too?" He chuckled, "It's funny. You and Archon have a much stronger bond." Warren watched the eidolon shake his head for a solid five minutes, "He cares about his eidolon. Why else would he bother to name it?" Cyrus raised the phone in the air, "I found the perfect name, Giichi. I think it means Justice, or at least is one of the meanings."

Turns out their name is Inagawa Kai and Kudo Kuzakura. They escort us to their car and we go to their base since their oyabun, Iwamoto Hisao. I perk my curiosity since usually, they name their clan with the surname of the head but this gang named it differently. But oh well, better not question it, hence I'm seeking trouble. Upon our arrival, there was a traditional Japanese house that you usually see in the 19s era. The big door and traditional ornaments and the wooden block with the writing Yangoku. Well, from what I know, Japanese Yakuza tend to build their base in an old or traditional model to show chivalry.

Love Metamorphosis

Kim Jae chuckled at the aggressiveness of the girl next to him. "Kim Jae, you can call me anything as long as it's not 'Uncle'. You see, I'm still young." Kim Jae insists that he doesn't want to be called by those three names. In fact, he is already uncle, but his soul is still young, he reasoned. "Just call me Yamada!" said Ikeoka Yamada a moment later.

“What do you mean?” “I know his Japanese name.” “The full...” “Yes.” “You,” he looks at me, disbelief, written all over his face, “know his family name?” “Yes. Given name, Yuzuki. Family name, Sakamoto.” His eyes widen at my statement, hands sliding through his hair. "Don't worry, I didn't look further than that. Well, I didn’t really have to look that hard." “And how exactly did you know about his paper in the Forensic Science Journal?” His brow arching with the question.

"How can that be? I know a woman called Ejima. She never had a child of her own." "You are right. Our mother never had a child. She had children." Ikemefuna laughed again. "I see." Ume nodded as the piece suddenly fitted. If these were the people of Ejima, it explains why Uche wanted to kill the woman so badly. "You have something to say, old man? Speak now before we return your head to your king." "I bet you wouldn't kill an unarmed man that has done nothing to you." "Honor is worthless," Ikemefuna shouted, "it's the shade for cowards and men without balls."

he asked sounding a tad weak. Ash hummed, "After my mo-the woman hired to play my mother was killed, I wished I could just erase my life, burn it down to nothing", he swallowed, "I didn't tell you the whole story, my grandfather killed or attempted to kill my grandmother when my father was my age, and it's apparently a family, initiation thing", he made a face as if he'd tasted something vile, swallowing he continued, "Obviously my grandmother survived probably using another decoy to protect herself, she, however, couldn't change the way her son ended up thinking, and apparently that man has wires in his brain screwed wrong", he said shaking his head. "If I can't erase who I am, or burn my p

Kaen says, snapping me out of whatever trance his daughter has me under, and I look at him with a frown. “Romanised name?” I ask “Yes. Umiko seems plain to some, and I know certain Americans prefer English names, so we have given her one if you would prefer to use it. Marina, it has the same meaning as Umiko.” When he says this, I am taken back to Caterina’s vision a few months back: /“No, but I saw Marina,” “Who?” “Marina, your mate?”/ This is when I finally paid attention to the word my beast was uttering, and it chilled me to my very core.

Love all of this series. I can’t put the books down. I want more of Kaia’s story and Kon’s too. Definitely a great read. If I could put 10 stars I would. I’m really picky about ebooks and what I read but this whole series has kept me interested and captivated since I read the first few paragraphs.
