"I told you about the parcel. She told me to give it to you after we did the deed." Now Cruz was not liking this. A cold knot of dread tightened in his stomach. Taking the parcel, he ripped it open to see a single flash drive nestled inside. His hands trembled as he stared at it. "I'll need a laptop, and the guests are already getting upset." As if the gigolo had remembered something, he quickly said, his voice dripping with false innocence, "Oh, I forgot. My network is back now. I've sent it to you." Cruz received the alert, his phone buzzing in his hand. But when he saw the video, his legs weakened. His face drained of color, his heart stopping dead in his chest.

Nelly said as Ottiline looked through the files. "This one belongs to his family and not him? Call the police that is close to the port to be on standby of any suspicious person but I'm sure that he would not use that route since he might be caught in the end" Ottiline said and picked up a file that lay on her table. "This is all the belongings of Victor Cruz something. He purchased them himself, there was nothing suspicious as they are all registered business." Nelly watched her as she opened the files and looked at it.

The maid knocked and disappeared before an answer could be heard from the otherside. I didn’t wait. I pushed the door open, my hand clutching the weapon inside my coat. “Ahh Mr Cruz.” He stood up from behind his desk, his hand hovering over the piece to the side of him, anticipating my next move. “I was wondering when I would be seeing you again.” He snarled at me. I paced forward, pulling my nine millimetre from my coat, pointing it directly at his forehead. Simultaneously, Luciano matched my movements, the shimmering metal in his hand was focused on me.

Cruz noticed her out of the corner of his eyes and made a sharp move to lunge for her. “Give me that fucking flash drive!” he screamed. Lorenzo latched his hands around Sterling from behind, keeping him from getting any closer to Eleanor. But Eleanor watched with great horror as Cruz reached for his blade and turned to thrust the end of it into Lorenzo’s side. All the air was sucked from her lungs. “LORENZO!!” Within seconds, the room was flooded with guards, all aiming their weapons at Cruz. Lorenzo slowly slumped to the ground. The second Sterling tried to move, a wave of bullets broke through the air and struck him dead in the chest.

One of them unlocked my handcuffs. Then I saw him. Lorenzo Cruz. Diabol’s nephew. He looked like he was raised in blood and money. Tall, at least six feet, with slick skin, a strong jawline, and broad shoulders. He wore a silk shirt and held his gun like it was a fountain pen. “Welcome back, uncle,” he said, hugging Diabol with genuine affection. He didn’t spare me a glance. Just walked off beside his uncle like I didn’t exist. Good. Maybe if I stayed invisible, I could find a way out of here.

Her heart lurched. “What?” “The key, Nova! Grab it, now!” She scrambled forward, pulling her daughter with her. One of the cops turned toward her instantly. “Stay back, ma’am—” “No!” Cruz bellowed, lunging up just enough to knock the man sideways. “Don’t touch her!”

I proceed to switch it on, and as soon as I do, I open the folder to read the contents. According to what I've read, the Cruz family is still in the hospital, and Jose was recently arrested for attempting to flee two cops; grate, now I have to wait for them to get out of jail and sign the documents; I don't know much about the wired phrases and words, but I know of some ways to learn what they mean; it may be a stretch, but I need to know what all of this means, or at least in a broad sense;
