“Adrian is both a werewolf, and a lycan.” Shock and disbelief flitted across Julius’ face before a frown darkened his features. “He sought me out, he wanted to make me his chosen mate…” My voice trailed off as horrific memories tried to force themselves to the forefront of my mind. I squeezed my eyes shut, willing them away as I tried to keep my breath even, which became rather difficult to do as a growl rumbled from within Julius’ chest. It was clear by the way the muscles in his jaw flexed that he was trying with maximum effort to subdue his reaction.
