TOXIC LOVE
I just hoped this weekend could do that for him, even just a bit.
I began to hum to myself as I wrapped a towel around my body, the soft melody of My Love by Westlife filling the small room. I scanned the rows of bottles and tubs on my shelves, grabbing a vanilla moisturizer to match my shampoo.
The unsung words of the song haunted me, resonating through my body as I perched my foot on the edge of the bathtub and rubbed the moisturizer along my leg. The song reminded me of Austin, all his pain and all the pain I felt for him. It reminded me how I knew I’ll never leave him, how I could give him the kind of love he needed to get through whatever his past threw at him.
